Bobcats jumped out to a 7-0 lead. EC tied it at 13 in 2nd Q and then never trailed the rest of the game. After leading 19-17 at half, EC extended lead to 8, 26-18, early 3rd. Lead got as much as 12 in 2nd half with Orangefield getting no closer than 5 points, 41-36, late 4th. One glaring stat from last night. OF was 1/16 from 3 land. Also, EC fought foul trouble all game. Had two starters foul out with two others end with 4 fouls. After seeing these two teams play each other twice, I think EC is just the better overall team.

But somebody said that this big boy ball and that we’d be humbled. Also, someone said we wouldn’t go through district undefeated and would have 2 losses. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

No sir. Ive seen them play several times this year and they can look really good or pretty average depending on the shot selection. No doubt Zach Sells is a great player to build around, he’s already special. I think they’ll be solid as they get a little more size to em. That’s when they’ll start to excel , when they can start to beat ya up a little on the defensive end of the floor. Very unusual to be in the playoff hunt with all sophomores and freshman but Joub has got em there. He’ll get the most out of em.

Let’s see…. If I owned a business and fired 10 people and hired 10 different people to replace them, I created 10 new jobs. Sounds like a winner. Biden causes businesses to close….. when they reopen, he created jobs. Biden shuts down oil leases on federal land. Yeah it’s true, Kountze needs the 3 ball to be falling, just the way they currently are constructed, but tonight was a lot more than the “live by the 3 die by the 3” mantra. They were not jacking up 3s, they were trying to get into the body of the bigs and get to the rack as well. Nothing was going down, all night. Top that off with the defensive effort and miscues, it was a rough night for our boys. They will be fine, one tough night does not define this group, just like one big win Tuesday at EC doesn’t either. Long road ahead for this bunch.
