I think that's one of most aggravating ways to go down. I don't mind losing but not when your team rattled with the injury bug and nowhere near 100% or heck 75%.

I know that feeling too sadly as well this season with one of our best players. But that's all you can do is make adjustments and try to put your team in the best position to win.
