52-14 Final

Score doesn't do this game justice. It was easy for Crosby today.

I thought there was a chance this game could go the route of the Ned game this year. You know the playoffs are about matchups and Marshall plays slow like Ned does which frustrates Crosby at times. We missed a couple easy tds on our first two drives that game and it made the game a lot closer than it should’ve been. That got compounded because of the limited possessions against against Ned’s slow play. We play like we did today though and we might get to run it back with those boys off the west side of Ft. Worth.

Marshall would have the second worst offense in our district and probably be battling Dayton for 7th place though. Marshall being able to finish a clean second in that district is the reason I’m picking PNG over TH.

Only thing that impressed me about Marshall is that WR #3. That's it.

Have to agree ' SanaFe would be the only team they dominate in our district.

#3, #9 and #88 are all legit. They just don’t have anybody to get them the ball. They look like Branch playing at GCM. #91 was the best DT I’ve seen Crosby line up against all year outside of that kid from Manvel committed to Purdue. They just had nothing else on either line of scrimmage though.

I’ve been geeking out and watching all our district’s playoff games from this week. It’s amazing how good our entire district is in general at the LOS. TC is the worst of all our playoff teams in that regard and they’re the only team that got blown out. PNG is considered a finesse team in our district but boy, that’s the last thing I would call them against Montgomery. who was supposed to be the bigger and more physical team.

I dont think its outrageous to say yall are a better bet to make it to state than we are. The rest of the playoff path for us is considerably more difficult.

Y’all have an absolute murder’s row to get to the title game. The semis will be a relief if y’all make it. I think y’all’s toughest test until the title game is this week against SOC, I’m just not super high on Lovejoy this year.

I’ve been talking about it in other posts  above but the reason Aledo is so dominant in our class is because they are so dominant at the LOS. Of course y’all are the heavy favorite but SOC looks like they may have the big boys up front to allow their offense to be a factor? QB play is the best I’ve seen from them. Maybe their defense is just good enough this year to take advantage of an Aledo offense that maybe not as potent as last year? Y’all will probably still win by 30 but man SOC looks awful good this year.

    • Here’s the thing. I keep dropping facts on you, and you keep on knee-jerk saying “all lies!” I’ve asked you multiple times to point out whatever I’ve said that is factually wrong…but you can’t.  You might not like the facts, and they might make your eyes sweat a little… but it doesn’t change the fact that they are as true. Heck, deep down inside you might even know that Ol’ CB is right, but you believe Trump isn’t to blame. That, sir, does not turn the truth into a lie. What you should have said was is “that may be true, but I’m giving Trump a pass because…” Not “that’s a lie” when the numbers don’t lie.    But for you and everyone that  believes Trump was good for the economy, I’ll give another of my beloved and informative analogies that might help you finally understand.    A man handles his Family’s finances.  He makes a decision that life could be better, so he’s like “this is our year!” He stops all contributions to retirement accounts (cuts taxes) then proceeds to book a trip to Disney, buys nice things for the family and maxes out all possible lines of credit…. Now they’re facing bankruptcy.  The kids (y’all) are now arguing “things were so much better when  Dad (Trump, also your Daddy) was in charge! We had nice things!” The man set us on a course for ruin with deficit spending, then it accelerated with COVID, then he was such a pig that Biden got elected, and now we’re facing another “anybody but Trump” loss in the November, guaranteeing four more years of nonsense from which we’ll probably never recover. The debt is just insurmountable. We shouldn’t be surprised, either.  Trump has always been a “borrow as much as we can and pray (errrr, hope….not pray. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t do a lot of that) that it all works out” as evidenced by his businesses which have repeatedly bankrupted.
    • Something we probably already knew.  Remember -- soros is Jewish!!  It's been reported that he sided with the nazis during the Holocaust!   Again -- the devil has this snake of a person!
    • Professor Shugerman had a piece yesterday (In The New York Times) explaining the ways in which the Alvin Bragg case against Trump is quite thin gruel and a very bad idea, calling it an embarrassment and a mistake. Kudos to him.
