Alvin HS is the Lee HS of Alvin ISD.  Rich history and traditions, but newer schools are taking over.

Alvin was the original HS, GCM was the 3rd. 

All the growth in Baytown is in GCM zones. 

Don't see that comparison at all. Maybe on a competitive level, but that's probably why GCM is getting a new coach.
