No you said the refs were Silsbee's MVP which implies that it wasn't the play of the girls but the calls by the refs.  the game is online and Lumberton did alot of fouling which turned into alot of free throws!! Lumberton shot plenty of free throws, but only Lumberton went to the line legitimately..right?? The refs did not HELP out a helluva lot. Lumberton didn't play well and the seniors couldn't contain the Silsbee Freshman. Lumberton's press was lazy with alot of reaching and Silsbee passed or dribbled right out of it.  The lead early on was off of beating the press resulting  wide open shots or having numbers.  Just accept the L and give the Silsbee girls their credit.  Crying about the refs is weak! Period!

The most common thing about referees is that the losing team knows that the refs cheated them and the winning team knows the refs did a good job. Doesn't matter which side youj were on. No one thinks abou the fact that those folks don't necessarily have kids in school and that they take a lot of time out studying and driving to different games to make sure they are played fairly.

I don’t think the refs cheated at all. They were just crappy refs. Lol.

I watched the video, Lumberton got outplayed and out coached. Morris got into foul trouble early and those were not bad calls, those were silly fouls and she had to sit down early in the 1st qtr. Silsbee took full advantage in the first qtr with Morris, Postula and Le all being on the bench at the same time.

Yes- as a Silsbee fan I couldn't believe they were all benched at the same time!! Christmas in February!

We won the toss...Silsbee enters the playoffs as #1 seed.

Silsbee will face probably Livingston or Splendora 1st round, then Yates or Navasota the 2nd.  3rd round will be against HJ.

Lumberton will face Huffman 1st, then either Kashmere or Bellville 2nd.  Not sure who their opponent will be 3rd round but it will be one out of Liberty, Orangefield, Royal and Worthing.

    • Wrong again. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up   The day that Trump took office, our nation debt stood at 19.9 Trillion dollars (End of Q4, 2016).  After his tax cuts (without corresponding cuts in spending), the national debt stood at 23.2 Trillion dollars at the end of Q1 of 2020 that was the Start of COVID, FYI... Or a total increase in debt of almost 17% during Trump's first three years (and one quarter) in office.  At the end of his reign (with COVID spending for which Trump himself signed off on) was at 27.7 Trillion Dollars.  That's a 39% increase in the National Debt while Trump was in office.  For further reference, Biden inherited a 27.7 Trillion dollar debt to start.  At the end of Q4 2023, the debt stands at 34 Trillion.  That's an increase of 19% over the first three years. I know that math and facts hurt your feelings, but Trump was horrible for the country before he allowed "them Dirty Democrats to shut down the economy."  Anybody that says "Trump was good for the country" doesn't know the first thing about micro/macro economics or the effects of deficit spending.  Trump hurt us like no other president, period.  Anybody that says "Trump was good for the economy" is actually stating for the rest of us with some sense "I don't know what I'm talking about."
    • But of course you wouldn’t understand the saying. You’re so clever. Your education precedes you.
    • Hmmmm..... Didn't they just win a football state championship?
    • The fact that you try to bolster your assertion that Trump was a bad president by using "facts" that are not attributable to him is disinformation at it's worse. It is "lying by omission", which is just another way to say big ol' fat lie. Unemployment was going down to record lows before Covid hit. You and I and almost everyone on Earth knows this, but somehow you try to spin this stat as a knock on Trump. Same for the stock market. LYING BY OMISSION. A tactic almost as old as prostitution. The debt and spending exploding due to Trump is just an old fashioned bald face lie. You seem to follow the mantra "if you tell a lie enough times it becomes fact." You are starting to resemble Biden now. Do you have any other whoppers to share?
    • Intentionally keeping top secret documents haphazardly around the house comes to mind.  A lot of what came out of his mouth, torpedoing the political careers of republicans who didn’t fall in line?  I don’t know that he all of a sudden became a beacon of moral light and goodness just because he got into office. Again, we’re not talking about policy, but what kind of person he is.  If anything he seemed to get worse once he was in power as far as I could see.
