These 2 teams been playing each other for ever, one of the biggest rivals in SETX. If HD loses to Hardin and WH in the same season, man it won’t be good. I agree with ole big mouth HD Bobcat55, them Hull coaches got to put some of them big fellers on the line, the big QB and FB are huge. I like the #3 and #2, both dem boys look like Lamar Jackson.

Don’t know much about HD yet but WH is hurting this year, their young and injurys are taking a toll they only had 15 kids dressed out against warren and The ones that play don’t come off the field and skilled positions have no back ups, was told it was 0-0 up until right before half with Kountze and I think they said 14-0 at half with Warren so not too bad but after half they come back out it look like they played 3 games back to back just burnt out and it just got bad quick from there , looks like it’s going to be a long rough season for them boys

Did Covid kill their numbers or something? They usually have quite a few more kids.

Yes sir I think it had a little to do with it I was told there were a few kids that are decent ball players (1 that has started V since a freshman)that were able to keep their summer jobs not having to go back to school so that’s what they decided, other than that idk boys athletics are dwendling down year by year. Girls teams are stacked tho lol.

It's easy on this forum to trash the small 2A schools. Understood, our district isn't threatening any State titles. Football is a completely different game when your entire High School football program has 18-24 kids dress and no "legacy" programs here. Hull-Daisetta, High Island, Evadale, Burkeville, Deweyville, Sabine Pass...they simply can't hardly overcome a key injury or two. Sure, they'll line up and play with what they have and they'll take an "L". I know a few "prestigious programs" locally that can't seem to line up due to a twisted goal post or a damaged jumbo-tron. Our boys probably won't get to enjoy a single home game this year, we lost all our stadium lights at our stadium. They just wanna play. And yes, we scraped up enough kids with damaged homes and no power to run up to Cushing and get beat. I'm still proud. And to all of the above mentioned schools in our district...great job on keeping your season together. We have 3 key kids out this week but we'll go to Warren Friday and give 'em all we got.

Um, that prestigious program didn't get power until two weeks ago and some of those kids in that prestigious program just came home last weekend to houses that are so badly destroyed that in some cases, they are unlivable.

Hey, you have a problem with how smaller schools are treated by some posters here?  By all means come on and express your displeasure.  But for you to bang on a school that had 120 mile winds roll through makes you look just as bad as the folks you appear to be chastising!

Hate to say it.. but I've heard that the WH AD has been known to not be good for football programs.  In the name of basketball I mean.

I think all our schools in the area have had alot to deal with (covid, storms, etc). I'm proud of all the schools for dressing out and playing with what you got. One thing is true "We are South East Texas Strong!"

Coach Thompson would play on a dirt field with poles for goalposts if he could.

    • Poster I guess forgot about 2022 Port Arthur Memorial as well. (3rd round lost was to Longview who won Region 2). And last year that 1st round game was against Forney who won Region 2 as well.

    • FBM made it to the 4th round in 22-23. If that’s “weak,” I don’t know what “strong” is.
