Not sure it’s just the offense.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s got problems, but still....  Last year, it averaged 35 points a game.  In 2017 it was 30 per game.  Not sure why it’s not putting up big numbers this year.  Perhaps the Coaches are putting the better players on Defense, which is doing admirably.  I’m no Coach, but I think if you could incorporate the forward pass into it, that offense would be formidable.  Just not many kids that can QB, run great, and still throw passes on the money.

For the smallest school in the Dist, possibly going down to 4A, the kids are playing their butts off.  Mighty proud of them.

They are really playing hard but nobody is playing both ways this year that I know of. A couple guys playing both sides of the ball from time to time might be required if we find ourselves in desperation for a playoff spot. Like next week and the week after and the week after that. We have to win out I think unless it comes down to a three way tie point differential situation with Nederland and Crosby. Still have to beat Lee and Dayton but a win at Nederland next week sure would help.

The offense sucks Hagar. Im just saying

We looked good in the first 3 games this year but the last 3 oh boy. Not sure If it’s just tougher defenses or teams have figured something out. The Santa Fe game is what got me worried, I know the weather sucked but dang everybody is hanging points on them. Plus we had the ball deep in their territory multiple times and couldn’t do anything with it.

We’re not getting the power runs out of the QB position. The defenses are just keying in on our running backs. In this offense the QB has to get his share of runs to give balance to this offense on top of throwing a few passes here and there.

I just think we need to evolve some offensively but it will never happen. I can't say enough  about our defense though !

There’s no doubt the defense has been solid. It hasn’t looked this good in years. We use to have shootouts with teams on points because we couldn’t stop nobody. Now our defense is getting stops but our offense can’t put hardly any points on the board. I guess the answer is to keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Lol
