Clinched playoff spots:

Friendswood

Santa Fe

Texas City

Three games left in district for the fourth spot.

Crosby (split with GCM) has Santa Fe, Friendswood, and Lee

GCM (split with Corsby) has Galena Park, Galveston Ball, and Friendswood

Friendswood- Both could lose

GCM has the easier path, but I suspect they will have a Play-In game for that 4th spot when it's all over with.

haha it very well could be. BH seems to finally started playing better but you never know.

I don't think GCM would beat BH in a first round match up.  Having watched both teams play a few times, BH is the favorite between the two teams.

Crosby and GCM will play Friday night to determine the 4th playoff spot. The winner will face Barbers Hill. Congrats to all the 22-5a teams for a great district season and good luck to everyone in the playoffs.

I know. It's frustrating that GCM lost to a team that would have finished 3rd in their district.

BH definitely benefits from an extremely weak VB district.  GCM and Crosby, a team not in the playoffs, were easily better than any of BH's district opponents.  It's great that BH wins their district, but the level of competition that they see within their district does not do them any real favors.

    • Poster I guess forgot about 2022 Port Arthur Memorial as well. (3rd round lost was to Longview who won Region 2). And last year that 1st round game was against Forney who won Region 2 as well.
    • FBM made it to the 4th round in 22-23. If that’s “weak,” I don’t know what “strong” is.
