A well rested lumberton will destroy a newton tested kirbyville team. Doesn’t matter if they played them or not. Lumberton will win by a minimum of 5 touchdowns.

Seems like when Kirbyville is down everyone wants to play them. I can remember in 2009 and 2010 when nobody wanted to schedule them. About like the time Jasper scheduled us for homecoming and their side of the stands were empty to start the 4th quarter.

Still only 22 on the field at a time although I suspect after the 1st half a lot of L-Town underclassmen will get some reps. Score will be closer than 5 score difference, possibly 3 or even 2 touchdown win.

Lumberton 49 - Kirbyville 0. I think Lumberton runs all over the Wildcats and pitches the shut out on defense. If Kirbyville scores, it will be in garbage time.

I believe Newton is below 300 for their enrollment. EC is probably around the same as Kirbyville.

Why do you say that? Would you feel differently if Kirbyville was competitive? It is a non-district. A lot of schools are playing games against smaller/bigger schools.

Most do not have this kind of difference in size.  Just a way to pad the win column.  There are plenty of other schools Lumberton could have scheduled.

It wasn't Lumberton that scheduled this game, they just agreed to it.

Doesn't matter if there was 5000 enrolled. Football kids are not there and if they had football kids they would be limited offensively anyway with the slow Slot!
