Surprised at how little "talk" this game is getting. EC is a "mystery" ths year. Only one scrimmage and not much other than a "score" report from it on this site and a lopsided game against an opponent they have thoroughly dominated in scrimmages over the past years. No prediction here and again just find the lack of discussion a bit unusual.

Looked like a pretty small team too, in size and numbers. I didn’t see any running backs that impressed me, no broken tackles or big runs. Bad formula and all around bad showing. Maybe the coaches can mix up the personnel but now I see why there was a lot of talk about more guys playing both ways. Apparent lack of depth but even more concerning was the apparent lack of effort.

Both teams went to the state quarter finals last year only to be bit by the injury bug, so let's squash the "they can't carry our jock strap" trash talk. Both programs have great athletes, dedicated coaching staffs and fanatics for fans. Lots of strengths on both sides of the ball with only a few areas to improve on. It's going to come down to who makes the least mistakes and if the other team can capitalize when they have the chance. For the Bears, Dean with Morris and crew will need to have a stellar night and the O-line must keep the "chain gain" in check. WOS will be forced to double/triple team #90 as they lack some size at the tackle position. This will only leave one-on-one assignments against the other trenchmen. LCM's secondary has been in question with loss of Pete from last year but I've be pleasantly surprised at how they can shutdown the passing game. In the end, this game will only help identify those gaps before heading into district and hopefully long playoff runs for both team. Iron sharpens Iron? LCM 28 WOS 27 with a missed PAT GO BEARS P.S. Who verified what disinformation I spread about BH and what was it? I don’t really think people in BH wanted a coach who didn’t want to be there. I’ve already said it was a joke in response to another poster’s comments. As far as this BH obsession thing, hopefully this helps. I work in Baytown. There are people who have kids that attend school in East Chambers, Anahuac, Dayton, New Caney, Dickinson, St. Thomas, etc. Bunch of geography is covered at the coffee pot. The highest percentage of people’s kids attend BH though. In 15 years I’ve only had one other co-worker who’s had a kid play varsity sports at Crosby. Right now alone I have friends that have kids at BH who play varsity football, basketball, baseball, softball and even soccer. BH fans love telling you how good their programs are so they generally dominate the majority of all sports conversation, plus that’s where the majority of them live. I’ve been to softball and football playoff games to support their kids and they’ve driven all the way to Dallas to come support Crosby because of me. Doesn’t meant you’re not going to still talk trash and take pride in beating each other. I would like to talk football too so I think a good place to start is with saving all your “quality of life” posts. Tell us about the quality of your offense instead.

The guy is doing a good job with what he has to work with. I believe he will grow the program to new heights in the not to distant future. I fully support him. As I said before, I only care about Crosby one week out of the year. I am pretty neutral on Crosby the rest of the time. I would prefer just football talk, and I can amicably disagree. All should know its 100% futile to attack me. I got a real, real thick skin. If you want to keep on its OK but its wasting your time. Maybe you know me better now. Why don't we just try and be cool? I don’t think Crosby is even on the success level of Westfield or Manvel yet, much less those other two. Don’t mistake me being able to talk about my team in depth for making them out to be something they’re not. It’s not my fault you don’t know the difference between the students with the million dollar addresses that go to Lamar and and the kids that live in apartments in The Heights.

Exactly, which is no different from the high income zip code teams letting you know how many state titles they have and how comfortable their life is. The trash talk from the SLC fans to the Duncanville fans before they get blown out is legendary. As far as Crosby stopping the run, I know that’s somewhat of a “running” joke among the top tier teams in the state but I can promise you were getting closer. Last year’s version of College Station making a “run” in 5A-D1 region 2 gives me hope.

I post all types of information about Crosby football, the PA guys are in this thread posting about their squad, there are a couple of Baytown guys who have provided some analysis but nothing from you all offseason about BH. I think that’s because either you don’t know(which I do know for sure) or people just don’t talk to you? I've never had a boss from BH but I have had several guys from later 20's to retirement age work for me and NONE of them have ever talked about "the quality of life in BH" as much as you do and these are guys who report/reported to me every work day. There ain't a lot of tech execs. or neurosurgeons living in BH, the people with sense understand that if they're working on the same unit or sitting in the same hall as you then y'all are probably more alike than different. That's because he was actually an avid high school football fan though, something you lie about being. The issue with BH, and not even really all BH fans but just you in particular, is that you're too naive on the subject of THSF to actually provide any real football analysis of your program. Your football knowledge is akin to the mother of the first chair in the clarinet section, which might actually be a slight to some of the PNG band moms. I'm not jealous of anything in the BH community because I can guarantee 90% of them ain't clearing it like this Crosby boy is.
