Some of you folks aren't actually here to talk volleyball. Stirring the pot is what y'all like to do. Yes, we have lost games. Are we upset about it? Not at all. It's all game experience to get better as a team. I don't know if anyone noticed but Vidor came into Hardin having won the Silsbee tournament and was 7-0, but lost in 3 sets. Like I said before, tournament/non-district games don't really matter. Those games are to get ready for district play. In my opinion, volleyball is down all across the board. Even Huffman, who is coming off a state volleyball run last year, is down. They are still good, but not the same as last year. I have not seen many dominant teams this season, with the exception of maybe Tatum and Jewett Leon. Edit: I want to say that the last paragraph is based on what I have seen. I am sure there are some really great teams out there and I just haven't seen them. I'm sure Barbers Hill is one of them. I've never seen them play, obviously due to my job. I'm sure y'all think it's funny I post on here but I actually do love volleyball and like to see the legit info that is posted here.

You talk/type just like Jim Adler. On here, anybody can say that they are a fan of a certain school and there’s not much evidence to disprove that. All a poster has to do is consistently “support” a school and say they’re a fan. That’s the online world for you. I’m sure there are multiple people here that have multiple accounts. For what purpose, I don’t know. By the way, Hardin does just fine without a MaxPreps account. The college worthy players that have come through the program have all found a spot somewhere. Not just in volleyball too. Hardin softball players have found college homes as well.

We don’t get much volleyball talk so I thought I’d try and start some. What teams in the coverage area or non coverage (People like me) areas could make a run next year? To start I’d like to offer some praise to Bellville coach Susan Brewer who has to be one of the best to ever coach the game. She has been the head coach in Bellville since the early 80s and what a program she has built. I believe she is second all time in wins in the state of Texas. Won a few state championships, and is on quite the run over the last 4 seasons. 2019-2020 41-9 Regional Quarter Finalist 2020-2021 (Covid season) 26-4 State Semi Finalists 2021-2022 39-9 State Semi Finalist 2022-2023 39-11 State Semi Finalist With a good chunk of players back from last years team they will look to finally win the state championship after 3 straight seasons of advancing to state and coming up short.

A fun fact if you want to talk about the popular vote - California and New York make up 7,096,710 of the popular vote difference of the overall difference of 7,059,547. This is a perfect example of why our founding Fathers came up with the electoral college. They didn't want two states deciding Presidential elections. Numbers don't lie......

I heard on a national talk show today that if Mitch McConnell has to resign that the Governor will appoint a Democratic to his seat. One might say, what's the issue? He's a Democrat therefore he appoints a Democratic. Not so fast, kemosabe! The State has a law that states that whatever party the individual that resigns belongs to has to be replaced with same party that resigned. You reminded us of that 11 years ago when I first go on here. Wow, I miss the site. Love all the talking that goes on, some of it true some of it made up. Just like being at the barbershop Haven’t been on it much in the last year. I was a Northern Nevada driving miners into the gold mines. And I have moved from Southeast Texas, leaving the Houston area after 38 years of teaching and coaching and stuff back to Central Texas. Lots of great schools here to like Franklin and Mart, But will keep up with Southeast Texas and drive to a couple of games. Really looking forward to the Crosby Barbers Hill game. Crosby because a lot of my players from my defensive coordinator days have sons that are on this year’s team. And Barbers Hill Because, one of my former players, Chance Nelson from Baytown Sterling, is coaching receivers at Barbers Hill now. This will be fun to watch. Keep up the trash talk, makes it fun!
