My question is how many coaches he will be able to bring in to support his offense and defensive schemes. He has not been a head coach from what I see and the jury will be out to judge his success. I hope him all the success in this job....

With Todd Dodge in the mix now, I know of one coach who was going to apply will not now. I am not sure why they would put any good coach in this situation since they would want to run their program.

Well, I understand there are 7 days left on the job posting for the AD/Head football coach at Png. If Jack Alvarez applies, he will be a front runner. He is the only coach who has been to the state championship game 3 times and won it once at Ennis. He is a great coach and he has been a winner everywhere he has coached. We will see if he is on the list of coaches to be considered.

All the schools that Jack Alvarez has been the AD somehow the master's degree went away. PNG needs to decide if they want a football coach or an AD to run the athletic program for the district. When you restrict your candidates, you will be missing out on a lot of proven winners.

Jack Alvarez maybe interested in coming back to PNG if the offer is right. He is a proven winner wherever he has coached. He is at Cuero high school and they were one game from the state finals this year. He has been to the state finals in football three times and won it once at Ennis.

I have seen both schools and there is no doubt in my mind that if Crosby does not turn the ball over they will win. Texas High does not have a lot of speed on the outside receivers and there is not a stand out player on the team. Crosby QB can scramble and this will kill Texas High when they blitz... I can see Crosby running away with this game...

The problem with kids playing both ways today is most of the players are not physically in shape. Most players just playing on one side of the ball are wore out in the 4th qtr.

West Sabine beat Colmesneil 10 to 0 on a 1 hit shut out by Karson Lane. He had a no hitter going into the top of 4th and gave up a ground ball single between first and 2nd base...

I have seen FBM and there defense is not that impressive. If Port Neches would have made some plays in the 4th quarter they would have beat FBM. I think Nederland will win if they play solid defense. I am going to the game to support our Mid County team... Go Nederland!!!!
