McDonald is an amazing person and a great coach. I would absolutely love to see him step up into the HC spot!

No question in my mind that they have better athletes but can you say that coaches like that don't develop players better than Mitchell? To consistently be that successful year in and year out. Again I said what I said and you can not put Mitchells name up there with those guys. If you do you are delusional. Mind you same guy a couple years ago that was scared to get blown out by Silsbee. Had his boys line up on the inbounds line, backs to the court and hand the ball off to one another for 5 minutes. What a coach!!!

I do not think you can ever put Mitchells name up there with those guys like Southerland, Davis, Joubert, and Green. As someone who played for Mitchell, he ruined the game for a lot of us with his toxic traits. A lot of us would have rather gone and played for Joub or Southerland. Those guys care for their players, develop them. Mitchell did not. I have heard since then that things have gotten better and obviously wish nothing but the best for him. I do think its time Lumberton considers bringing in a guy that has heart for the game and isn't there for publicity.

Not necessarily a lack of faith in the coach. Lumberton will just have a young team next year. Graduating I believe 32 seniors.

Athens loses to CH by 17. Lcm loses to CH by 28. LCM loses to Lumberton by 21. Athens loses to Lumberton by 26 but also put up 7 more points than LCM did. I'm not sure you can say "certainly" as far as this year goes. I'm sure it would've been a close game but after watching both teams play this year I would've taken Athens over LCM. But yeah you are right we could play the could've, would've, should've game all day.

I think they are the favorites for the DC next season but will be another one and done in the playoffs.

He's a good one. Raiders defense is going to have to be lights out. Looks like they can air it out too. I am excited about this one. Should be a pretty even matchup. Question is whose defense will step up in crucial spots. I know one thing, Lumberton will have to eliminate the false starts. I believe they had 6 or 7 alone in the second half last game.

I guess only time will tell. Everyone is a little rough at the beginning of the season. But I will say I think LCM wins district next year. Lumberton is losing about 95% of their starters
