  1. I was going to say Foster would make a great RB or WR. I see him being switched to one of those 2 positions. From what I saw last year he is more of a runner than a passer so the transition to one of the other positions should be a good thing for him and the team all together.
  2. What happened with that I saw the pick 6 and then all of a sudden Santa Fe had the ball back right where they were.
  3. This game is perfect example of why we tell our Dayton YouthFootball boys that we don’t let off the gas no matter what the score is.
  4. Now tell eli he better show up ready to play tonight.
  5. Agreed. Hearne had a hell of a season for the Dayton Broncos when he stripped that ball the fans went crazy. He is a hell of an athlete and I wish he had a couple more years in Dayton. We are all proud of the kids for what they did.
  6. I mean yeah if you want to get technical they could work on tackling. If you were at the game last night you saw exactly what happened when they actually utilized Vernon. And of course when they were moving the ball with ease if you would have looked on the side line coach Ware took over the play calling for those drives and did exactly what everyone in the stands knew needed to be done to move the ball. And as far as coaching I’ll stick with coaching the youth to many people to answer to at the high school level.
  7. I feel for all of the seniors that played their last game tonight. This years Broncos had tons of potential but for some reason we didn’t utilize the talent. I get we had some awesome receivers. But you have to establish a run game in order for the passing game to work and we had a kid that could possibly have been one of the best running backs in the state and for some reason we didn’t utilize him. Every time he touched the ball it was an easy 20-30 yard gain. But I think he maybe touched the ball 6-8 times tonight. I don’t know if he made some one mad so they were proving a point, maybe he is hurting so they tried to easy up contact on him. But either way if he isn’t touching the ball why wouldn’t we utilize Campbell a little more that boy can run that ball with the best of them. We also have the young running back #22 that can run when needed. But for some reason we decided to throw the ball into double coverage, into the wind on one of the wettest and windiest games we played all year.
  8. Maybe you should start a we want Vernon chant.
  9. Agreed. Especially with this wind. They should definitely be running Vernon. I mean you see what happened on the drive that they actually ran the ball.
  10. I say it happens in 5a division 2 district 9 4th place beats district 10 1st place team. Texas city wins by 10-14 points.
  11. If it is blocked and never crosses the line of scrimmage either team can advance the ball. now if it is blocked but passes the line of scrimmage only the defense can advance the ball, if it’s an extra point the offense can pick the ball up but it’s then a dead ball and the extra point is no good, if it is a field goal attempt and it is blocked but passes the line of scrimmage it is then considered a punt and the kicking team can down the ball wherever they touch it at.
  12. Dayton @ Brenham Cub Stadium - Brenham, TX Friday November 11 @ 7:30
  13. I always enjoyed playing Brenham win or lose they are alway a great fan base, very friendly, and the smack talk is always fun. My two favorite playoff opponents have always been Brenham and PNG. 2 of the best fan base ever. I feel like we used to always end up playing Brenham in the playoffs.
