The Cowboys already had Michael Irvin under Landry. Landry already had Troy Aikman slated as their first pick before he was fired. The Herschel Walker trade made it possible to acquire Emmitt Smith to complete the triplets. Add to that Russell Maryland, Kevin Smith, Darren Woodson, and you have yourself a SB team made from one player. Call it luck or whatever you want….. it happened to JJ and JJ. Success breeds contempt and egos become combatant. Oh the what ifs….. Even Barry Switzer was able to win a SB with that team. Cowboys have never been able to find the right combination since that era. Prima Donna’s rule the NFL, coaches are a dime a dozen, and money ruins it all. On top of all of that, it is rigged….. and that’s not sour grapes. 

That whole game seemed weird to me. 

I disagree with that too the top 3 were competitive in district...if you think 4th place is competitive tell the WO-S fans their team was competitive in 2023 and see what hornets nest you'll stir up😄

A better coach would've found a way to win one of those games and improved on his record from year 1. PNG shouldn't have had the chance to tie it with a last sec FG. All season long... wasted timeouts, failure to call a play, over thinking going for 1 or 2. When u have a 17 pt lead in the 4th, run the ball and the clock goes with it. Or u could allow a team 2nd chances to come back and win on the final drive.
I've hoped that he could learn from mistakes. But I've seen no reason to believe it will happen. 
No coaching jobs are currently posted on the district website. Although, I'm wondering if Math teachers normally receive $3000-7000 stipend ???

I'm actually not worried about how the teachers are treated. They have a choice to leave anytime. But if it rolls downhill like most stuff does, then the kids are hurting from this too. That's my only concern.

I joined Raiderettes after my Varsity football year. 

I'm insulted.  I've had way worse takes than this... you weren't paying attention. 

He's claiming the 2023 awards for for 22-23 school year. With that logic the 2022 awards were for 21-22 school year. Was Joesph at PNG then? He won the award for 2022.

I don't think so. Looking back to the winners last year. Coach Joseph won. He wasn't coaching PNG in 21-22 school year. These awards have to be for the actual 2023 year. And I beleive @pine curtain is right about it too. Another coach that went further into the playoffs and over achieved should have won.

Regarding my claim about Smalley’s effectiveness as an AD, here are the most recent “Coaches of the Year” recipients in SETX.  Orangefield has more than double any other school, all Smalley hires.

I do personally know some folks who have inside information on things sometimes, but I wouldnt want to lose their trust by sharing anything they tell me in confidence. On this particular "AD/HC Situation" I can just say that I believe it will be filled quickly since there is an immediate need to fill the role.
