    only a sophomore.  Looks like he was at Strawn last year?  Not surprised he moved, but would've thought he might have moved to a bigger school.

    Those grand sons are definitely a priority. I'll be taking them to the tourney in a few years. Got to convince my daughter it's alright for them to miss a couple of days of school.

    Mike, reading your post is kinda sobering in a way. The winds of change happens to everyone sooner or later. The memories made with your dad are priceless. Maybe it’s time to make some with those grandsons.  Carry on!

    Good thing Hitchcock got to play the Bobcats from Orangefield.  Otherwise they wouldn’t have been tested before state.  And yes, I know Lorena played them almost as close but Orangefield had them on the ropes for a good portion of that game.

    Yes.  Ironically, he got most of his offers after playing with Silsbee in Duncanville last summer.  In this day and age, to have the amount of offers he has is almost unheard of not playing with a sneaker team.  NCAA setting that up last year gave him an enormous amount of steam. Texas and many others offered after watching the Tigers play a few high level opponents in D’ville.  He deserves every bit of it. Kid can absolutely go.

    I thought about going to that one.
    Looking more like me going to Woodville for that double header. Hamshire-Fannett vs. Center at 6pm and then Crockett vs. Orangefield at 8pm.
    If it weren't for the double headers, I would probably go to Montgomery and check out Big Sandy vs. Hearne. Two of my favorite coaches and just good guys will be squaring off in that one. Kevin Foster for Big Sandy and Travis Williams for Hearne. Haven't seen Travis since he left Kirbyville a few years ago.
