    Not only that but Lumberton has several of their skill players coming back for their third year. That alone puts them on top of the heap in my opinion

    I may not have done very good here but I won 3 pick ems' for the Enterprise at $25 each and then won the overall for the year for another $250. Not a bad haul for a free game.

    Keep in mind. Lumbertons' first foray into the playoffs in 2007 we were in the 4A division that is now the 5A Div 2 playing against PNG, Nederland , Dayton, Central, Ozan and Vidor. In fact we were TriDsitrict champs with PNG and Dayton as we each lost to one of the others. We were the number 1 seed and went to the regionals like this year where Waller beat us down even though we were the favored team. Thaat was also the year we got to experience Lamarques' bad attitufe after we beat them, players and coaches. I think if we ever move up again we'll probably be alright.

    I spoke to my brother about this call, as he just retired as a high school football official. I described how the ball was well past 10 yards and how the opposing player seemed like he was frozen when our guys jumped on the ball. Ther actually is an interference call for kick offs BUT the ball must still be in the air and in this case the ball was clearly on the ground. Theymade a huge mistake on that call and very possibly turned the game around for CH.

    I'll tell you what a girl at a pager company told one of my drivers back in the early 90's when he wasn't receiving pages at his house. She said "But sir there are too many trees in the way for your pager to receive the signal."🤣

    As far as what was happening when you froze it was possibly the kick off we recovered when they claimed that we didn't allow the receiver a chance to receive it. They called it kick off interference. Problem is that kid was just standing there like he didn't know what to do and finally our guys jumped on it which woke him up. It should have been our ball because it went well over 10 yards. That was probably the first thing that took the wind out of our sails and then when Ricky broke for 92 yards that pretty much did our guys in. We had it in the bag before then.
