  1. A 40 Yd pass to Jevean Gardner set up a QB dive by Ruiz for a 42-20 Lions lead. 3:46 left in Q3.
  2. 9 yard sweep by the crusaders for a td. 35-20 LIV. 7:41 left in Q3.
  3. After a pint return to the Crusaders 15. Lions score on the first play on a Ruiz to Feagin connection, second of the night. 35-13 LIV 9:44 left in Q3.
  4. 28-13 Lions at the half. Crusaders to get the ball to start Q3. Only one band tonight.
  5. Lions conclude a 70 yard two minute drive with a 8yd TD pass 28-13 Lions 0:25 Left in the half.
  6. After a kickoff return to the Crusader's Livingston respond with a 14 yard TD pass. 21-13 Lions. 4:24 left in Q2.
  7. Well, folks, we have us a ball game. On 3rd and 12, The crusaders hit for a 72 yard TD pass. they miss the PAT. 14-13 Livingston, 5:24 left in the half. Ughh!
  8. After stripping the ball from a Livingston ball carrier at the 44 yard line, Concordia scores on a 35 us tD pass on second down. 14-7 Livingston, 9:06 left in the half.
  9. Lions drive down the field. After having a 19 yd option pitch td taken off the board for a bad block, QB1 runs it and in from 29 yard to extend the lead to 14-0. 0:21 left in Q1
  10. That was a weird sequence. Concordia started deep in their territory and managed to drive down field a kick a 33 yd field goal. but because of a roughing the kicker call. Concordia had it first and goal at the Lions only to throw a pick in the end zone on second down. play on.
  11. First play of the game is a 75 yard TD pass to the TE. 7-0 Livingston, 11:44 left if Q1.
  12. Senior Night in Livingston. I guess we're going with double lions at midfield this year. Still in the low 90s and not a breeze to be found. The turnout for Concordia is super small, less than 30 now. Maybe they're stuck on the Grand Parkway.
  13. Ozen and Central had no business playing West Brook because they were both less than half the size of Brook. BISD should have killed the Beaumont Bowl when Ozen opened unless they were going to equalize student bodies. Bruins gonna win. Hope United keeps it interesting. Good luck to both teams this coming season.
  14. Its between Hargrave and Livingston. If you pay for the website access, they flipped to Livingston winning district, Hargrave second, Visor third and LC-M fourth. I'd like to see a repeat, but I'm more interested in them making a run to the region championship. Livingston has enough talent to be play at least three extra games, if not four. Same for Hargrave.
  15. This game has been scheduled to be in Livingston for quite some time. Since we're on schedule changes, the Jasper-Livingston game is cancelled. Livingston plays at Anderson-Shiro Tuesday at 7. Damn you COVID.
  16. Was not the best game for Livingston. Throw lazy passes at the end of a quarter, get two treys by the other team to go up. Don't run the man off the three point line, watch four of them fall against you in a quarter. Longhorns played a complete game, Livingston didn't and that's why they won. HF has a good team. They have a good coach. But I was a little embarrassed for their kids as they were getting yelled at half-time on the sidelines and I could hear a lot of it even though I was up high. Not against the criticism or yelling; just go to the locker room and do it in private.
  17. Went to the game then went back to work. Again, I don't brag about games you're supposed to win, but I'm grateful for each one. And as I did in football, I didn't comment on the games during the action and I waited until other people chimed in after the conclusion. I'm more interested in enjoying this last year of following high school sports without being dragged into petty squabbles. That's why I don't @ you after your games because I don't have time. I'm sorry we're not playing this year. It would have been a good win for us. We're just going to have to settle for district wins. Good luck Coldspring-Oakhurst High School. I hope you get to finish the job in San Antonio this year.
  18. On to Hamshire-Fannett for first game of district. Onalaska made some shots after they fell behind by 15 in the third quarter. They gave it their all and it showed in the score. When Livingston wants to play defense, it's practically an iron curtain, and they did that at the end of the second quarter and halfway through the third. Better play defense on Friday or its not going to pretty. Good luck Onalaska!
  19. Your district is interesting. Looks like everyone has a shot at making the playoffs and would be worthy of the spot, even fourth place.
  20. Lumberton ain't winning by double digits in The Grove (still feels weird saying that). LCM keeps this close, 2-3 points max.
  21. Ought to be fun. Hargrave by 5 just because they're home. HJ wins the rematch in Sour Lake.
  22. Game was cancelled. Livingston Traveled to Porter and beat the Spartans 51-42. Up next are the Onalaska Wildcats Tuesday in Livingston. First home game of the year.
  23. This is dumb. The only reason to leave the Southland is if they are going to play up in FBC. To move to another FCS conference, let alone one that's so far flung out, is going to waste money on a department that already depends on student fees to keep it afloat. This stinks of the last time Lamar left the Southland, last time it was to become a big time basketball school. I'm glad that Lamar is thinking about it's future. I wish it would do more academically like open a law school or a medical school like Sam Houston state is doing. But let's not go to the WAC. Call up Conference USA. Better still, call up the Sunbelt and remind them you are a founding member. The travel is a lot better, these conferences already have television packages and names people are vaguely familiar with.
  24. This stinks. I would think they could make up the game on a Saturday or the next day after district play is over if it has bearing on the standings. Stay safe and mask up.
