There is a possible wrinkle regarding Jones' transfer. Supposedly his siblings are still attending Sabine Pass. This may affect his approval from the DEC.

It's my understanding that another varsity team dropped out of the tournament at the last minute, so Sabine Pass had to split the JV team into two in order to fill the brackets.

Very petty game from Colmesneil. Some pregame drama when the colmesneil coaches noticed that the hashes were off by 2 inches and lobbied the refs to get the Sabine Pass coaches to repaint the field before kickoff. Colmesneil coach embarrassed himself with unsportsmanlike penalties throughout the game. Congratulations to the Sharks on making the playoffs

My friends that coach tell me horror stories about select team parents that try to take over school teams. I know one coach who took their team to the playoffs every year, but was let go because they got on the wrong side of a group of select team parents that harassed the schools administration until the playoff making coach was removed from their position.
