I saw video of that last play. That was no "touch" foul. The Buna player completely displaced the Orangefield player on the inbounds play. I don't know how the game was called (tight or loose) but that was definitely a foul and was correctly called.
Even the Buna player knew he had screwed up and was over aggressive going for the ball.

With the Indians being in Crosby tonight I got to take this one in as I have family in Buna. There were 3 tough calls down the stretch with 2 of them going the cougars way. I'm not sure the Cougars led very much in this one, Connell hit a huge shot to tie the game but the play that happened afterward was absolutely a foul. The cougars are solid, and have nothing to hang their heads about. 
 

What's funny to me is on a different site there are some super salty Tech fans right now questioning his honor because he broke his 6-year contract after two years.  If you don't know why this is hilarious, go google "Chris Beard UNLV".

One of the highlights of my broadcasting career involved Coach Williams. He was at the Nederland basketball tourney a few years ago scouting a player and he sat with me at my broadcast table during one of the games I was doing and came on air with me during halftime. Very special broadcast for me.

I know one thing.  Terrance Arceneaux is THAT guy.  Refused to be denied!!!  Saved us twice in the clutch!!!

Kid makes it look as easy as can be.  Y’all can go back to debating the best Beaumont teams but I will say this - Terrence Arceneaux is as talented as we’ve had since Stephen Jackson. 

They gonna give Arceneaux the key to the city after this.

EC by 5 tomorrow. This reminds me of the 2018 regional final EC vs Crockett. Crockett was a good team who pulled off the win over Coldspring, who was the favorite. LRA upset New Waverly tonight, most people’s pick to win the region. Should be a good one. LRA has some good athletes, but just think EC is the better basketball team. Especially at the pace this game will likely be played at.

two school’s known for having success in basketball (obviously Silsbee much greater than Huffman) and two surging programs in BC and Lumberton.

Average compared to whom?  Yates?  Then I would agree.  But that is a senior-laden group who play very well together.  Can they compete with the big bad Lions?   Likely no.  But they also draw from a population base of 8k compared to 2.3 million.  That’s right, you have roughly 287 times the population base of Bridge City from which to recruit.  I understand it has been a down year recruiting for Coach Wise but your student body of athletes is still one any coach down here would salivate for.  
 
So when you denigrate a team by calling it average, just remember you are the 21 year old playing in the park with middle schoolers.  Congratulations I guess??
