Lancaster had a very solid club. Lots of talent. I can see why some had them ranked #3 earlier in the year. If they had a little more discipline, they’d be a lot tougher.

The LP/Lancaster game was closer than the score indicated. It was as competitive as advertised. Good game, even with all the flags.

LP is very young. This experience will help them get back to where they used to be very quickly. The staff is ahead of schedule to me. They return the entire backfield, half of the OL including the big TE on Dave Campbell’s watch list, and over half the D.

At 2249, not sure if they’ll stay 5A, or move back to 6A. But, the future is looking bright again, and the talent pipeline seems to be back with the backing of the administration, staff, and community. I’m hearing around town that parents outside LP are asking about the community. Apparently, some publication has rated La Porte as the 10th best ISD out of 75 in the greater Houston area.

With all the new facilities, the 1:1 technology standards, and all the local support, the kids have excellent opportunities.

If y’all move up to 6A and your in the one district, it’ll be tough.  If y’all stay 5AD1 you’ll be pretty good for the next couple of years for sure.  Good season this year and hopefully y’all can build on it next year and take the next step.

Good evaluation. It’s close to my bias opinion 😀 I think BH is the most complete team and PAM is the most raw talent team in the district.LP can cause match up problems, just ask BH. I mentioned once that they seem to be to BH how Vidor was to Crosby. Can’t explain it, but they give us fits. I hope we all three represent in the 1st round well.

Gut told me you guys were going to be the only ones to advance after the 1st.  PAM didn’t show up unfortunately and LP got a bad matchup for them Lancaster isn’t your normal 4 seed.  Good luck next week.

21 years of existence and ppl are STILL saying it's coaching. Coaches coach throughout the week but they STILL get the blame. How about we talk about what's really going on. Parents condoning foolishness, so called fans bashing kids and coaching staffs.

I'll say this it starts at HOME! KEEP on telling little Timmy that his Coaches are wrong and little Timmy won't ever realize his faults. Just finished watching film with my little Timmy and pointed out his faults. Did he like it?  HECK NO, but he heard what was said.

Not once will I blame coaching, PUBLICLY or BEHIND my  keyboard because the COACHES AREN'T BLOCKING AND TACKLING!

The good folk at PNG might say Coaching can turn a program around in 1 season.

In my defense I didn’t read your biased opinion.  After it gets solidified Friday I will give my ever important predictions everyone is on the edge of their seats for.  Hopefully y’all get a decent draw.

  5. After watching the district play out this year I’ll give my non-biased opinion. Barbers Hill can make it 3 rounds for sure because they are the most complete when healthy. PAM has a lot of talent but something is missing.  You can’t come out struggle with teams you should dominate and then turn on the switch.  They get off to that signature slow start in the playoffs, it could be over before you know it.  LaPorte is scrappy, tricky, and doesn’t back down so it depends on their matchup, but a disciplined defense that stays home could give them fits. Then it’s whoever faces Longview(Porter), you guys had a good season!  Good luck to all and don’t take it personal, is just an opinion. 2-2 maybe 1-3.

Stepp explained it in the Memorial/BH thread.

I was just looking at that, yeah y’all could be in a bind.  BH played well last night and if they are the #1seed they are going several rounds deep in my opinion.  Your road becomes much tougher obviously if it stays that way.  Let me hear you say, GO COOGS 😂😂😂

And you left out the part OLDawg has not had a good thing to say about BH all year, so what would anyone expect? Just SSDD. Do the math.

A Crosby guy whining about a last second BH TD against LP. OMG Don't you have enough to worry about? LOL.

Literally missed the comprehension again. It’s about playoff seeding not his disdain for BH!

Discussing a very significant team issue that definitely affected any teams performance is not "crying about it". Anytime any team would have as many injuries as BH did during that stretch there would be a discussion about it. It's news. Contrary to what you want to believe, it was never used as any excuse when BH lost to the mighty LaPorte. One last time for you: LAPORTE WON HANDS DOWN!!! Happy?

As far as you supporting PAM, have at it. We expect that. No one ever supports BH outside of BH.  But OMG please spare the ridiculous claim "its not anything against BH". Thats just laughable.

BTW I hope LP felt welcomed and enjoyed playing in Eagle Stadium this year. I am sure someone somewhere appreciated it.

You left this part out of your quote from OlDAWG, typical you though.

“ Just want no part of a possible 3-way tie scenario with the gimme last second TD the refs gave BH in the LP game.”

Doesn’t want anything to do with a possible 3-way tie.  Seems like it not anything against Barbers Hills and makes pretty good sense.  The logic is pretty solid, but reading and comprehension is fundamental, some of us(YOU) come up short in that category I guess.

No. I dont want to get on a particular kid too much but he's not a QB. They should try something else. Bring up the freshman and let him run around and try to make something happen.

From what I’ve seen(just on Friday nights) they just don’t have the speed, depth, or just overall talent to compete. Combine that with the late start(kids still don’t know where to line up) and you get a recipe for a really bad season.  Besides the rb’s(one is not completely healthy) and a couple of other players, if they all went to Barbers Hill, not many of the Crosby kids would even start over there.  This might ruffle some feathers, but that’s what I see.

Y’all’s QB is a good athlete and a heck of a baseball player, but he’s no throwing QB. Crosby needs to run 90% of the time and then short passes here and there.

If you take a closer look, there’s not 1 Receiver that actually gets separation.  Best throwing play all season has been across the middle to the TE. He’s actually been pretty accurate this year. On the pick 6 right before halftime, the intended receiver didn’t even look back for the ball.
