  1. Incredible run by this senior class, and so unlucky to have to finish that run without Dotson. BU showed incredible heart tonight, and gave Stony Point all they wanted and more. I’m confident in saying had Kayde been healthy we’d be watching BU in another state final. Either way, United has everything to be proud of, and nothing to hang their head about.
  2. BU playing with lots of heart. Definitely not moving the ball like they normally do. Hard to quantify how big of a loss it is not having Dotson on the floor.
  3. It’s like $12 a month or something. It’s worth it during the playoffs, although they have cut back on a lot of their regular season broadcasts
  4. Bottley was the difference in this one. In a game where silsbee was up and down, he was steady throughout.
  5. Tigers didn't look particularly sharp that quarter.
  6. This is the last I’ll comment on this: No, I’m not from the Pear Orchard. I’m a white boy from sour lake that devoted 15 years of my life working with African American kids from Beaumont, many from the Pear Orchard. Don’t believe me, ask Mieka or Kevin Dotson. If where you’re from actually even matters in this case, which it shouldn’t, I’ve more than earned the right to stick up for a Beaumont kid. Sorry that literally everyone else has misinterpreted your seemingly straightforward comparison. The rest of the stuff you say in this post is great. I agree with it 100%.
  7. Kinda feels like Ponder is the sacrificial lamb of the state championship, but they play the type of style that could maaaaaaybe slow down hitchcock a little.
  8. I wish you'd quit pretending that 18-13, 12-6 is somehow better than 9-22, 5-13.
  9. I believe it, watching the game on my phone. kinda one of those oddities of lower classification basketball that you get, watching 5'6" #3 and 6'9" #10 passing the ball around at the top of the key for Holliday.
  10. if maxpreps is correct then Holliday has 9 players 6'1" or taller, 6 of them over 6'3". one is 6'9". all of this in a town of less than 1600 people.
  11. in a thread discussing a 17-year-old high school kid's injury, you posted that if Kobe had the SAME injury, he would play and probably drop 40. That's the literal definition of comparing one to the other. Let's get back to the game.
  12. Attempting to insult others' intelligence considering the line you've taken in this thread. Oh, and while you're right that this isn't North Korea, you in fact cannot post "whatever you want", my guy. personal attacks against other members aren't allowed,
  13. 1. Do you know the extent of his injury? Because I do, and Kobe isn't dropping 40 in the same condition. Highly unlikely he would play, and if he did he would be severely limited. 2. Dotson doesn't have a choice. If the doctor doesn't clear him the school isn't going to let him play, no matter how bad he wants to. 3. There's a lot more at stake for Dotson than just this next game. Regardless, it's kind of ridiculous that you're on here insinuating that a high school kid isn't tough enough or doesn't care enough. You either don't know him or are a terrible judge of character.
  14. Sorry, i meant that it had showed they lost to Eula in the regional finals. Someone must've input the score wrong, because it's since been fixed.
  15. On maxpreps the other day when I looked it showed Benjamin had lost. I guess it was a typo, because it's fixed now. Tuning in to the second half to see what Rigdon does. I did notice watch their game against Irion County and they denied him and he had a terrible game. Forced a bunch of bad shots and turned the ball over a few times. So he can be contained to some degree. You have to make the other guys beat you.
  16. I’m much more concerned about the border, and I’ve stated I’m voting for him. But I can understand people not wanting to vote for him for the reasons I’ve stated. He went out and aggressively condemned everyone who wasn’t behind him, both on social media and by endorsing people who stepped in line with him, all the way down to fairly insignificant races. Consequently, many of his candidates weren’t very good, and it hurt us in the midterms. It would be easier to make a list of people he didn’t try to ruin or have removed from office. we’re in agreement on all of those people being narcissists, but he takes it to a whole new level. And yes, I’m tired of talking about it as well.
