SMH They advanced out of the area due to the bracket , pretty sure  no one has ever won a Championship without leaving the area Pretty sure Vidor won the first time they played PNG W. Granted it was the super bowl when PNG W got the W that mattered. 

PNG couldn't/didn't want to play for some reason and Vidor stepped in to represent the league and travel to CC. Vidor went to Corpus Christi and won both games which qualified them for the state championship in San Antonio where they went and brought the championship home.

Vidor had way too many fumbles while moving the ball down the field at will!!!! SC capitalized on Vidors mistakes AND had more speed and size at WR than our CB and inexperienced FS could handle...... Vidor knew what HAD to be done to win but the T/Os shot that to hell and back. Congrats SC was the better team that night and ended the Pirates season sooner than many expected and were ready!!!!! :-[ :-[ [size=18pt]BUT[/size] SC needs to let go of the whole "what should've could've would've crap" and realize SC football, just like several other GOOD programs won't be back til next FALL!!!! ;) ;) ;) just for the record though >>>>>Navasota's O more explosive than SC PLUS they have a DEF to help out the high powered O!! 8) unlike SC.

The INTs can be partly blamed on th fact that WOS was playing catch up from the very beginning of the game, which is ufamiliar territory for them. Which in turn resulted in WOS getting out of their routine of fairly simple grind it out football. Instead of running the ball straight at the D and mixing in short quick passing routes or swing passes to keep the chains moving like they normally did all year they started going for the homerun ball and airing it out which was not something Salter had to do a whole lot all year. Just because you are a QB doesnt mean you can sling the ball 45 yards on a rope especially when it's in your standard play style. NOT SAYING that is the only reason they lost and it was Salter's fault, IMO he played one helluva game and gave it his all!!!!!! Seemed WoS was dropping their LB s into coverage the majority of the game and their pass rush was almost non existent with both DE's being double teamed almost constantly. Basically Navasota struck first and forced WOS out of their normal play style from the very first series of downs. WoS moved the ball fairly well when they were playing small ball and the drives usually didn't end until they tried to throw the long ball which was typically picked due to the closing speed of the Navasota DBs, to the HIGHLY thrown, almost hail mary style passes that were not typical of normal WOS playstyle!!!     

Not takingat anything awayto from png but Half the vidor  jr white team were sick with a stomach virus for that game. PNG played a great game and got he W.

I have been wearing my Pirate black and gold the last 3 weeks to Big Ned's games and have experienced nothing but thanks for supporting the dogs...... Almost felt like one of the family , you know the redheaded step child of an adopted relatives friends daughters boyfriends nephew but still part of the family LOL... j/k been welcomed at all three games by Big Neds fans

Was fixing to pass that lil bit of info on to my Black and gold buddies!!! They had it hanging there for there practice sessions this week!!! Hope they go into this game doubting and basically overlooking Big Ned!!!! ;)

[/quote] PC used their running back more than their 2nd string QB.. they pretty much ran a wildcat style O all night and as stated it wasnt easy bringing him down. He also had a decent arm but could tell he was not exactly as comfortable throwing as he was tucking and running. Big Ned played their game and got the W but PC tried to make it a game late. Big Ned will have to step it up a little more this week if they are going to advance. Yes the wind was awful and really put a hamper on Big Ned's passing game but they adapted and overcame that.

Never doubted GT s ability and strength of their team! I actually tried to warn SC that this was going to be their biggest test to date. I still stand behind my statment of " ANY team can lose at any given time!"

Usually only last a few days unless you were overly cocky and arrogant after your wins!!!!! Hang in there bud, shouldnt last more a few months at the least in yalls case  ;)

LOL!!! SC already saying GT cant lose? Heard the same thing about SC . Truth is at this level any team can lose at any time which is why we all love to watch these KIDS play a GAME we all love each week.
