  1. I went. Seems like a very motivated man. He seems determined to change the attitude and culture. He stayed until everyone got their turn to talk to him and all of their questions were answered, even though it was his daughter 's 13th birthday. Then he went back to Katy for that.
  2. I'm watching you. We can talk later.
  3. Made the deal himself and works on it when he can
  4. Recently my 16 year old grandson and I took the master cylinder off of his 62 F100 into a major parts store. The counter guy asked "what is that thing?" I didn't even answer. We just went farther down the road to a local store. The counter guy asked me "Boy, I haven't seen one of those in quite a while. How early in the 60s is it?" Makes a lot of difference to me.
  5. I know that it has been quite a while since his passing, but what about Lil Tex?
  6. Habits are strange things. Back in the mid seventies if you were to doze off at work those guys that I worked with thought it was great fun to put pepper in your mouth or feed you some string or other foreign substance. So I got in the habit of sleeping with my mouth closed. That turned into clenching my jaws. I have ben retired for a long time now and I still clinch my jaws when I sleep. ( If I sleep much at all, thanks to 35+years of shift work.)
  7. We will be registering players and having a fund raiser at the park tomorrow and next Saturday from 10 until 2. We would love to have players from Hardin, Jefferson, Chambers, and Orange counties playing with us this year. Tryouts will be Monday the 29th at 4PM for 13 year olds and the 30th for 14 and 15 year olds. The 31st will be a make up day.
  8. Nederland Babe Ruth baseball will have signups at the park 3300 Park Dr. on Saturday March 6 from 10am to 2pm. The league is open to 13 to 15 year olds that live in Jefferson, Orange, Chambers, and Hardin counties. You will need BIRTH CERTIFICATE, and PROOF OF RESIDENCY. Cost : $175 / per player $125 / per siblings
  9. This edition of dogs is showing a lot of character. There doesn't seem to be much quit in them.
  10. I only hope that the dogs don't start making mistakes and let the game get embarrassing for them. I believe that Crosby has the kind of team that if mistakes are made the game can get out of control quickly.
  11. Dogs showed something tonight by not quitting when they were down so early in the game and kept having turnovers.
  12. Hope this veterans day finds all of you veterans and those currently serving well and safe. My grandson is an MP currently serving at Ft. Stewart in Georgia. He was in a car wreck today with a friend. With God's help he was only beat around some. His friend has a broken arm. The PNG faithful may remember him. He was #30 in the 2017 game.
  13. The deadline for registration for the Nederland Babe Ruth League has been extended for the next two Saturdays February 22nd and 29th at the rec. center in Nederland on Ave. H. The hours are from 11am until 2PM. You may also register on line until March 21st.
  14. Nederland Babe Ruth league is having sign ups at the Nederland Recreaction Center today from 11 am until 2pm. Cost is $165 for one player and multiple siblings are $115 each. Also February 8th and the 15th at the same time and same place. All 13 to 15 year olds from Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, and Chambers counties are eligible to play. 15. That's not saying much. Everyone else beat him too.
  16. Colton Beeson senior linebacker for Nederland committed to play for Texas Lutheran University early this morning.
  17. There may be at least two more signing from this group. I know of one that is being talked to by at least two schools.
  18. I enjoyed watching my grandson playing regularly on Fridays. And especially watching him have a descent MCM game in front of a lot of out of town family that hadn't been able to see him this year. Really thankful that he will have these memories for the rest of his life. He was #30. There were many others, but this was my favorite.
  19. The football player in this house is very happy. First thing he said was "that is great news!"
  20. I really can't say much about this game. We have a grandson playing on each side of the ball. A senior at PNG and a junior at Nederland. I guess it's a no lose game for me.
  21. According to my grandson, who is on the team, yes he will be the qb.
  22. Anyone even see anything yet? The only thing that I have found interesting so far is an arrow that I lost more than two years ago in front of my wife's blind. Not much is it?
  23. AND if you wait long enough, they will all be premarinated!!
  24. Be patient. Don't shoot him right away. If you are really vigilant there are usually four or five just like him that will show up one night to have a guy's night and play poker around the feeder and knock down a few beers. If you are quick enough you can get all of them at the same time.
  25. Thanks for the information, but try not to sweat? May as well tell me to get along with my wife. I just got finished cutting some underbrush there too. One thing is certain I won't do any worse than last year.
