  1. I have watched 21 quarters of Crockett Bulldog football; and they will not hit anyone; Unless, you are counting the fights they have between each other during the day on their campus. And for this reason, I am picking Anahuac to defeat Crockett by a score of 35 to 21.

The one area of excellence that I have observed was how proficient the Crockett coaches are at keeping the players back; so that they might not stumble over themselves while moving up and down the sidelines and cursing the officials.

Anahuac Panthers, remember who you are. Kick Bulldog Butt with all the PRIDE and Class that has been instilled in you.

Well, let's say that we got hit where it hurts; right in our Character. We have made great strides this football season and; we are looking to see even more improvement in the months to come. But, there is a high cost in low living; living below the character of a winner. Your true character is, who you are when nobody is looking. Somehow, your true character comes to light. You know right from wrong; choose right. Don't be deceived, your character is showing!

I don't have to hide in status reports to show my character.

Not referring to you ..... The biggest problem we have in high school athletics is lack of character. You got hit by friendly fire.

  2. It is great to be an Anahuac PANTHER on Championship Friday. Coach Neece, you have given us so much to look forward to. Relatives who have not spoken to each other in years are threatening each other's lives; but at least they are speaking. I heard a couple of people got a whipping at the tailgate; they shook hands and made up before they returned to Anahuac. Go Panthers; y EC lo va a pagar!!!

  3. I'm not going anywhere; the district race has just begun. There is no way that EC has the fastest backfield in 3A.

  4. The final key is our offensive line, Johnathan Cooper, Logan Lotz, David Woods, Eli Burns, Arnold Rodriguez, and Oracio DeLaCruz.(AKA the "Electric Company") They are there when you need Power. Their creed: If you are behind us, we will give you protection. If you are beside us, we will give you respect. If you are in front of us, we will give you HELL. These guys will build a wall around Foster "Handcuff Hoodini" Kreuzer; y la CE va a pagar por ello.

What about those book-ends on the defense? You are damn right!; the "Nigerian Nightmare" snd "White Chocolate". They will be relentlessly pursuing the freshman QB, causing him to play like the freshman he is. Remember, he only has to play like a freshman once; Friday night. And we trust this combination of 577 lbs. X 13"3.5"  of massive humanity to cause havoc. The plan is an evening of terror and destruction in Winnie. They will seek and destroy, and have fun doing it.

These two were born to be champions and have overcome adversity all their lives. "White Chocolate" is another scholar-athlete who has proven that excellence in the classroom pays; talking money. The "Nigerian Nightmare" is a great student who will have the opportunity to be a giant in the medical profession. Both, of these are 3 sport athletes who have been overcomers all of their lives. So, don't tell me about what they can't accomplish in this football district; they have been "kicking ass" in real life. For the last month, I have watched these guys play with selfless excitement. Something special is going to happen in Winnie Friday night, and EC is going to pay for it.

Coach Neece and his defensive brain trust have blended speed, toughness, and intelligence to create a chemistry on defense that is just unheard of in Southeast Texas. The chemistry part (speed, toughness, and intelligence) many of you are familiar with. But, when you strategically add a "CATALYST" to the mix, you have something special. (32 Borne, 7 Corbitt, and 10 Pham) If you need more information concerning catalyst, you might want to talk to that rich guy on the board over there in Anahuac, Bertrand. He will school you on catalyst in equity markets, which translates well in terms of turnovers and sudden change on the football field. History will be made in Winnie on Friday night, y EC lo va a pagar.

Please, give a report on my neighbors at Huntsville concerning the bus accident.

  8. Can you imagine being in Greg Neece's shoes for a day? Just for kicks, it is 8:00 in the morning and you have just poured your second cup of coffee. You take a bite of the breakfast sandwich #5's Dad dropped off for you yesterday. You are putting the final touch on your pre-game speech "Wecome to Homecoming; Excuse Us While We Whip Some Butt!!!". The phone rings.

You have been selling your program for 6 plus months. Using all your strength, you have made great progress. Pushing and pulling to get the young athletes in the 7th and 8th grades to see the benefits of being Anahuac Panthers. Parents are sure that you care about their sons and daughters. You answer the phone; maybe it is "Nigerian Nightmare" informing you that he has a conflict and will be late for unit meetings. Or maybe it's someone from your "Pony Express"; calling to assure you that the mail will be delivered rain, snow, sleet, or hail. Wouldn't either of those have been great calls.

Imagine a parent on the other end. You can hear the uneasiness in her voice as you are informed you that inappropriate language is being use in practice and games.  The mother gives you a list of words being use and directed at the kids in your program. These terms include, moron, retard, stupid, idiot, dummy, imbecile, loser, dingbat, ignoramous, and lamebrain.

Now, you are quite aware that we have special needs students in all of our programs. We are a very diverse community. We want a high level of participation, and we want athletics to be a safe place for our student athletes. How would you feel? What would you tell the parent? How would assure the mother that this will not happen again.

I am a friend of the program and Gegg Neece; and he approves of this message.

  9. This is a unique district. Once district starts, you must treat every game as a playoff game. EC is the exception, there is so much parity that every game has playoff implications. If you are not thinking playoffs, you are cheating your kids. Low aim, not failure is the crime here. If you can get your kids to do a little more, you can get to the playoffs.

You’re 100% right about that. Hopefully the Buna kids won’t be distracted by all the Homecoming activities. They’re fixing to be out in this heat riding on a float..well a trailer 😂 I’m sure they’ll recover by game time seeing how they’re young. It will be interesting to see how the games tonight and how this district plays out.

I'm given a hard time (because I am Foster's crazy uncle), but I am very serious. There aremm too many coaches who get to mid-season and quit on their kids. Kids today need coaches who would rather fight than switch. Your team is 1-3, so you want to start whining and want switch teams. This is your team, your kids; keep fighting. Let your kids know you care, find a way to be successful, try to make it fun. Wouldn't you rather fight than switch? I just believe that those people in Anahuac will pull together and make this one of the most successful Octobers in a number of years. If a team is in their way; they are in trouble.

  10. Anahuac will get better; young players will help win games during district.
