Ok look Newton has 2 D1 commits , one being top 100 in nation , 2 maybe 3 others that will play d2 , and a sophomore RB that is D1 talent . Tell me what other team in all of 3a that has that kind of talent . So if they lose out early It’s the players?? It wouldn’t have nothing to do with using your talent to match your coaching scheme . 

To many if's in there for me, I hope they play aggressive football and if (if again ) they play aggressive, we will win.🤞

Im from Gilmer, our coaches knew the play book and our players saw every play coming. If Newton does anything this year it will be on the back of their defense. The OC is telegraphing every play. It looks like other teams are figuring it out now as well not just us. Hemphill, Anderson-Shiro, and New Diana. 

You can believe that if you want to. Adjustments needed to be made.  Can’t get better if no one is willing to admit something is wrong. 

Newton is doing their best to stay on top. The talent is still there. But coaching style has changed. It’s obvious. New Diana  read those plays like they where calling them.  Coaches have to be able to recognize that and make adjustments. They are going back to that 2015 season. Neece is truly missed. TW has got to do better if they expect to repeat. 

If Newton makes these kinds of mistakes against Dangerfield or Paul Pewitt,  they will not win.

Newton starting qb did not play tonight. Back up quarterback threw 3 interceptions I believe. Newton's defense has dropped 2 maybe three interceptions. Without Williams at quarterback, Newton is very predictable. 

All of the above in my opinion.  But when I make a derogatory statement about a Newton Coach everyone on here from Newton gets all bent out of shape. Honestly I think Newton has the best athletes in Texas, 3AD2. But their playing like they may not even get out of the first round. But I'm sure they will. But this play is depressing.  And frustrating and I'm not blaming the players. 
But we still have another half to play. But no matter what happens you can't take this half away

This won't cut it against Dangerfield or Pewit and definitely not against East Bernard or Canadian.  It's a shame that they should lose with such great talent.  They need to get it together.  

C Camden beat Anderson Shiro by 3 touchdowns. Newton beat C Camden 62-0. That means this should be a close game.
Newton had more TD"s then C Camden had first downs. Newton 54  Anderson Shiro 6. That is if they run the clock the 2nd half like they did with C Camden. If not then, 71 to 6 Newton.

Guys I wouldn't argue with @SkeeterBronson. He obviously doesn't know anything and is trying to get crap stirred up...I mean he thought somebody from Kountze football this year had got offers from Alabama! 🤣🤣🤣

I guess you're right,  he made an observation and then stated what it looked like to him.  But I guess giving your opinion is bashing. Must not have hurt anyone's feeling.  I mean the former HFC is his boss.  

Just listened to the interview,  missed the part where he bashed the old staff, and talk bad about the weightroom.  He did say the kids looked like they were going through the motions, and looked liked they hadn't been taught certain techniques,  but didn't hear any call outs, you muat have the unedited version 
 

Better to lose now when it doesn't count. It sucks be have a 40 something game win streak snapped in the state championship game. One thing for sure, Newton won't have to play gilmer again.

Not quicker than I thought. Williams actually was the better throwing QB last yearas a sophomore. But he lacked confidence.  By the end of District Play he may have reason to strut like a peacock.  And let me say this now. They will be at the top of the heap next year as well. Having said that, they may not even win this game against Gilmer.  But after watching the Gilmer , Carthage game on YouTube,  I have even more confidence in Newton.  But it will be all out War. Newton doesn't have down years, as per say. Cmon, if you call a regional Championship a down year. IMO, Newton is actually on their way up. They will continue to improve their program year after year JMO. Only advice I would offer, and nobody's asking me. But like every other genius on this site. I'm going to give it. Develope throwing,  athletic quarterbacks.  That's been my only knock on the program over the past 50 years. Very few throwing QB in Newton.  Williams will prove to be by for the best and will be the measuring stick for Quarterback's in the future at Newton. I'll see all you Newton folks mid December at Jerry's.  Have a great Day!!!

Newton is just as good this year as last. Specifically the team thst played the last 2 games. Without their star receiver in the last 2 games made a tremendous difference.  Newton is better than that team now. Williams is a very proficient quarterback and will improve tremendously during District play when everything is not riding on his shoulders.  And they will get a few things ironed out with the running backs, which they have plenty of. They probably will use the sophomore,  whom I believe is already the better player in different roles. But overall I believe they will have a better team this year than last. Tbese or just my observations. I've stated that I thought Newton would lose this game to Gilmer, but after watching the Gilmer game on YouTube, I'm saying it yan go either way and this point leaning towards Newton.  Gilmer has considerably improved team from last year.  So even with a Newton loss, I still believe they will have a better team than last year.  JMO. Hopefully they will not sustain any injuries and I believe they will play better in District and the playoffs than last year. If that's possible.

I'm definitely not betting against them. I'm a big fan. If  Newton wins this game, no ther 3A D2 team will even stay close. 

Gilmer is better this year. Will be another test for Newton. I think Newton pulls it off in a battle. Just hope both teams get  out without any injuries . 

Get pressure on the Gilmer QB.
