  1. Easy killer! LCM is not a bunch of saints over there.
  2. Nope not all should be forgiven. Kids are punished by a coward adult is how I look at it. You may see different...each can have their own opinion. Amen Rake 1! Couldn't have said it better.
  3. Absolutely! Coach should know better and team should be punished! Why be anonymous is my question. Just seems vindictive. For the record... I don't think the coach broke the rules on purpose and the kids had no idea. So there is no message from the coach to the kids about hiding cheating. But, if you can't beat them, hide behind an anonymous letter... that's what I'd teach my kid!
  4. I understand rules are made to be followed. My question is...Is being a courtesy runner actually entering the game? That person doesn't show up in the scorebook and is eligible to hit or enter the game to play a position but a pinch runner can not. Also, when a player enters the game to hit or play a position then they are no longer eligible to courtesy run. Now, what I do know. Someone sent an anonymous letter to point out the horrible act on BC part. Congratulations on your participation trophy! Why be anonymous for this brave act of valour? Did BC win a close game because this courtesy runner beat the throw home to score the winning run? I can answer that...no! Someone spent a lot of time scrolling back through an APP to put the screws to a group of good kids that have worked their butts off to get to where they are. Maybe instead of investing so much time on your phone/computer, invest that time in your kid/team. Why be anonymous? Take credit for your wonderful find or polish that participation trophy! Good luck to all the area teams in the playoffs. Some team just gets to see BC early than they want.
  5. As, I get started, yes I am from BC. I am not here to argue whether Jasper used a loaded bat or not. I would like to say that it's disgusting that people/parents do this kind of stuff. Enough people to now it's a business. I was looking to buy my son a new bat and goggled cheap bats. As I scrolled down the page, there's sites for rolled and shaved bats. There is a difference between a shaved bat and a rolled bat. There's even the equipment needed to roll bats on one web site. You can choose whether the bat comes in new packaging. There's a reason baseball is the hardest sport to make it in. It takes a combination of God given abilities and hard work and sometimes that's not enough. The bats were made the way they are for safety reasons. It just disgust me that enough people do it to support businesses.

  10. That old man has to be embarrassing to some kid on the Silsbee side as well. It's a shame that he ridicules kids that are trying their best. I'm sure that ODB has never made a mistake in his life. Hopefully he graduates this year!
  11. WOS went to state in '91 also, Coach Anderson's last year of coaching. Had 8 kids play D1 baserball off that team. WOS is headed in the right direction with the Coach they have. They are young with some good kids coming behind them. It all starts at the Little League level cause kids dont pick up a glove and bat at age 14/15 and become world beaters. Not saying all kids that are good in LL turn out to be good in HS but a good LL is a feeder to the HS level.
  12. Bridge City is losing 8 senior who have accomplished some great things. They did it with class and let their talents speak for itself. IMO they never were at full strength and had a built in excuse not to live up to the hype, but some younger kids stepped in and did more than just contribute. A 3A school that loses 8 seniors and that must talent usually goes through a down period...don't look for any of that to happen at BC. [tt][/tt]
  13. Seriously?!!! They will be just fine this year. They are well coached and put in the right situations to succedd.O, by the way look at their roster they are loaded with underclassman with more on the way! Im sure there are other programs in the area that would love to fall fast and ONLY advance several rounds in the playoffs.
