  1. Yep constantly changing the Terms so that it feels better…..red flag as you can tell no one has copy and pasted the phrase I asked them to for those that support the killing of a baby……to me they re cowards behind excuses and terminology….constant deflection….cause they can’t handle the truth and what comes with it…..they don’t like the label cause deep down they know it’s wrong because they are LIVING and breathing air.

  4. If you drive drunk and kill a pregnant woman, you can be charged with the murder of her child. I have never heard of any court saying that it was just a fetus. Do they discuss what trimester she was in?….Nope There, that’s not very lame.

  5. C'mon bullets. I read your posts. You're a smart guy. Birth control ("the pill", condoms) prevent the pregnancy from ever occurring. No life ever began in those instances. Gotta do better than that buddy...

  6. correct, didn't get the memo on Reagan and not really concerned about Reagan. Growing up in SE Texas, everyone knows HJ is not a football school and the expectations to win a state title are not realistic. To say HJ will win a state championship in Football is to say BH will win a state championship in basketball. HJ is a basketball school and BH is a football school. I like the hire and would like to believe HJ will win some football games and compete. But i am also not going to ask to fire the coach if they go 500 or better, go a couple of rounds in the playoffs and never make it to the regional quarterfinals. I would pleasantly surprised if that happened, but not screaming for his head if it did not. Of course every coach/team starts the year with the state title as the goal, but you have crawl before you walk.

  7. I’ve never known anything to grow that was not alive. 63,000,000….oops, my bad. Really? In the sex education classes they should show videos of an abortion being performed. Maybe some of the informed women could make better decisions about contraception.

  8. Actually, no, clearly you DO have a side. You just "picked and chose" a bunch of women's personal views off of FB that all point left. Every single one of them. I did not see a single one on the right side of the discussion, nor even one mention of any of the prospective fathers (except one that was called a monster).

  9. I wondered about that when Scott Peterson killed his pregnant wife Laci Peterson. The media kept saying he killed his wife and his unborn child. I'm like, oh, now they want to acknowledge that it is considered murdering a unborn child. Found out later that they could say that because it was a wanted pregnancy by Laci Peterson. It's sad when a unborn child is only considered human life only if the mother says it is.

  10. So, (I like starting a sentence with that word. Makes me feel like a lib who’s gonna mistranslate anything someone says) you make it sound as if all the anti-abortion crowd is a bunch of old white men. So, shouldn’t the opposite be true? Actually, there are lots of women in the anti crowd. Just easier to lump into a convenient group. So, why don’t I see minorities in the pro crowd? You should really stop grouping people. It loses any edge you are trying to get with your argument.

  11. Anyone that wants to make a difference should volunteer time or give money to a pregnancy hope center. Nothing saves the life of a baby more often when the mother is not sure about what to do than her seeing the baby on an ultrasound or hearing the heartbeat. Not to be confused with planned parenthood which is nothing more than an abortion mill and parts harvester.

  12. I agree.. glad the discourse has been cordial. I think that most of don't favor abortion on demand.... I think that what we should all probably focus on is a better way to express our views. You know, share them in a matter that doesn't alienate pretty much everybody that doesn't pay tithes at the Westboro Baptist Church. There's nothing more offensive and counterproductive than some old white dude with a body count of 1 hollering "YOU'VE GOT BLOOD ON YOUR BABY-KILLING HANDS!!!! IT'S MURDER!!!! YOU MADE YOUR BED, NOW LIE IN IT!!!!" Press your state rep to push for low/no cost adoptions here in Texas. If we can afford to pay for legal defense for the indigent, we should be able to scratch up the funds for court appointed adoption attorneys. Share a vision of hope instead of a hateful display. Make the world a better place, not just yelling until you get your way and then leaving everybody else to worry about the unfortunate outcomes (poverty, crime, child abuse/neglect) that come when moms are forced to give birth to unwanted kids.

  13. anywho, i'm done on this thread. The same usual folks made the same tired arguments (myself included), nobody's mind was changed, and nothing was accomplished. It's always kind of a waste of time when 90% of people in the conversation are coming from the same demographic, as it leads to an inflated belief of how representative your viewpoints are to the majority of the country. That said, carry on, and we can find something else to agree on (Biden sucks)

  14. I understand what you were doing, I just felt like your rebuttal did not hold any water. You actually make his point though. The "fetus", as you call it, or "life" as I call it (heart beats, takes in nourishment, reacts to outside stimulus) are in the same predicament. If either are neglected ("by not taking care of it") then both will die. The two only differ as a matter of geography. One's in the womb and one is out...that's it.

  20. Thank you for the nice words. It has been an absolute honor to get to become apart of the Woodville community for the last 12 years and to get to coach some of the best kids in the state. My family and I are excited about a new oppurtunity, but saddened at the same time to leave a town that honestly has become home to us. I spent alot of time praying over this decision and asking for guidance and I feel that God has opened this door for us and he wishes us to walk through it and trust him. Woodville will always hold a special place in my heart. I am leaving the program in great hands though as my assisant of 12 years Michelle Merchant will take over to lead the ladies this fall. She has more than paid her dues and is ready step up and lead.

  21. At least Brothers's crew was *mostly* consistent with their calls going both ways last night. Still way too many cheap fouls called though. Phoenix is just in a completely different weight class than Dallas, and probably the rest of the league. Nobody is beating them in a seven game series if they keep playing like this.

  22. I think that it's probably good to note what this anticipated ruling actually means, at least as I understand it. With Roe and Casey overturned, the matter would be left up to the individual states to decide whether it's legal or not. Texas recently enacted one of the most restrictive laws regarding abortion in the state. I fully expect that law to be challenged, but I also expect a push here to enact another even more restrictive law, perhaps a total ban on abortions in Texas. I also expect any number of laws nation wide to be challenged by pro-choice forces immediately. I think at the end of the day all that we're doing is setting up an ongoing series of legal actions legalizing, then criminalizing abortion based on a one or two vote margin in the supreme court. The reversal really isn't going to do a whole lot other than cause more trouble. And it'll cause even more damage to the republican cause because every day there are Pro-lifers dying off and pro choicers turning 18 and earning the right to vote, and they will likely not vote for the party of old dudes that want to force their beliefs on everybody else.

  27. That's the fact that abortion supporters don't like to deal with. Call it a medical procedure to make themselves feel better about it, bottom line, the result of an abortion is the ending of a life.

  33. But you have to understand the viewpoints of the others. What if the government tried to tell you how many kids you were legally allowed to have, kinda like they do in China? My guess is that you believe that you, not the government (and your neighbors) should make that decision. If you could momentarily remove the idea that "abortion is murder" from your thought process, it simply becomes a matter of the government (and your neighbors) intruding into your life. That's the difference between "us" and "them." They (for the most part) aren't amoral, sinful people... they just disagree with us on a core issue. And if you could be so kind as to point me to a passage in the bible that specifically forbade abortion, it would make your point much more easy to defend. And before you said "thou shalt not kill," remember that you all agreed that particular commandment doesn't apply to the murder of those who have been convicted by a District Court Judge of Capital Murder. Is it such a stretch to believe that it also doesn't apply to the unborn, not yet capable of sustaining life? Let's don't even talk about the abortion pills. I'd love to hear all of y'all's thoughts on Plan B if you even know what it is.

  36. I do not think abortion should be used as birth control, but I also don't think it's any of our business what is discussed and decided between a doctor and a patient. Do any of you actually know someone who's had to make this choice before? I feel like a lot of you think that it's something they women WANT to do, it's not. They're doing it because they think it's best for the situation they are in.

  37. I agree we are getting closer to a swing state. I disagree with abortion, but I think there are times it should be an option, rape, medical issues, etc. I think that option should be closer to conception than delivery though. However, this particular issue is not for or against abortion itself, but that the SC should not decide it as a constitutional issue. That I agree with.

  40. To my knowledge the SCOTUS made this decision based on the Constitution. Point is, there’s no law making abortion legal. Dems have been in control of the Government for almost a year and a half. They could’ve (can now) make a law legalizing abortion but they haven’t. Anyone wonder why? For this very situation we find ourselves in. They relentlessly do everything they can to divide this country (United We Stand) race-wealth-religion-genders-etc, and abortion is the nuclear option. It’s their ace in the hole and it’s doing exactly what they want. Make no mistake. This has nothing to do with Women’s Rights or innocent babies. Their goal is much bigger (Divided We Fall).

  41. Agreed. If we're clamping down on abortion, there needs to be much better assistance for mothers so that they can provide for those kids if they want to keep them and also an adoption system with a lot less red tape for mothers that aren't equipped to do the job for whatever reason.

  42. It seems you did not get the Reagan Head Coach\AD hiring memo that's been discussed the last few months on each coaching vacancy. Because if expectations at H.J. with the Bass hire is not winning a state title & just wanting a winning season, some playoff wins within 7 years this hiring is a terrible failure from day 1. Also in the memo is rule #2 "Do not hire a guy who says he knows how to win, but has a losing career coaching record"

  43. [Hidden Content] From the article: More than 63 million abortions are estimated to have taken place in the U.S. since the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that granted federal protections to women seeking to terminate their pregnancies, according to one analysis. The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the nation's oldest pro-life organization, estimates that 63,459,781 abortions have taken place since 1973. That estimate was gathered by tracking data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Guttmacher Institute, which previously served as a research arm of the nation's preeminent abortion provider, Planned Parenthood. Over 63,000,000 innocents...think about that number! Lord, help us.

  46. In the last six years they’ve been to five regional finals and two state championships while playing in the same division as the teams in this coverage area. Their bad season was 10-1. That’s one heck of a paper tiger. Remember how they absolutely dominated Ned in that 3rd round game a couple of years ago? Their new district is not going to be stronger than the one they were playing in with Texas City, Manvel and FB Elkins. It’ll just be stronger than it was the last two years. They’ll have the best coach and the best players in the district. They also got a potentially huge QB transfer this off-season that might allow Ja’koby Banks to move to his natural position in the slot where he will play in college. Kid will most likely be a high major prospect like Malik Hornsby was for them a few years ago. Yeah, I think they’re that good. They just had a bad matchup against BH, they won’t have those same issues in this district.
