  1. I don't know any Trump supporters that supported the law breaking or the destruction of property. Once they broke the law, they went too far. We have never heard the term insurrection until the Capitol incident. Now, if folks want to run around and repeat Democratic political talking points that's fine, but AT LEAST be honest with yourself and call ALL riots an insurrection. If breaking into the Capitol was an insurrection, than surely chasing cops out of their station, vandalizing and setting it on fire is an insurrection.... or taking over a couple city blocks by force and not allowing cops in, and making up your own laws is an insurrection right? Here is the definition "an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government." my 2 cents....

  2. I think it’s great. They brought their charges days before the 12 year statute of limitations. How can anyone wait that long to bring charges?

  6. I’ve seen real people all over social media denouncing the insurrection while loving them some rioters and looters. At first, I thought the insurrection was a carry over of the rioters and looters, but since it was white peoples, it must be denounced. Ain’t that funny. You have never seen anyone praise the insurrection, so stop with the outright lies.

  7. Agree, he was the best I have seen at handling the press. Always very prepared and could get his talking points across with a little humor mixed in, usually to call out a dumb question. RIP

  8. Ohh, hell, I’ll give it a whirl. Yes, there is truth to these memes. You see real people all over social media defending the US Capitol incident while wanting Kaepernick‘s head on a plate. I’ve gotten used to it, but it’s still quite sickening, especially since prior to all of this, I had much respect for them.

  9. I’m sorry. I didn’t want to leave you hanging. I do have strong opinions on this, but I typically don’t frequent or post in the political forum. My strong opinion would do nothing but rub the MAGA folks the wrong way. Don’t want that to interfere with some good ol sports talk starting in the fall. 😁😁🤷🏾‍♂️

  11. "insurrection" a violent uprising against an authority or government. Please point out the "violence" of the day, oh wait besides the unarmed white women that was MURDERED and we still have not answers to who did the killing...

  12. It will be interesting to see the numbers. I thought televising every Astro game would hurt the number of people going to the game but it only multiplied it. Look at the braves years ago on TBS or the Cubs on WGN. I know this is baseball and they play every night, but I think it may expose more people to HS Football.

  14. That's been my experience as well... And I've always felt like much of Vidor's "past" was simply fiction. Seriously... We've all heard about the "sundown" sign. Isn't it crazy that there isn't a single photo of it? Certainly somebody, somewhere would have snapped an old polaroid pic, right? Nope. Not a one. Don't get me wrong, there ARE crazies everywhere, and possibly more in some places in others. But they NEVER outnumber the good people who won't stand to see others mistreated.

  17. You are right, should have said he intends to sign with USC. I wonder if Barlow (TCU) transferring there had anything to do with his decision. Gaston is a man among boys, when he gets to college he will be a man among men. He has the potential to be great.

    Critical race?

So you can't answer a simple question? It takes a "special" person to run from such simplicity while hurling insults. Please answer the question. Show us the proof that children and grandchildren of that picture not only are related, but also failed to mature as the country has in the last 60 years. Do you know any of these children/grandchildren? Do you unequivocally mimic what your grandparents believed in? Are you really this "special"? Please elaborate on your pathetic attempt of ridicule...thus opening up yourself to your own deserved ridicule. I bet you run and hide in a futile attempt to save face.

  20. He can retire at a public school (UIL) and work for a year at a private school and then go into the retire/rehire program at another public school. Besides one of his good buddies coaches at Kelly. He has coached for 34 years and I have known him for over 30. He is a good man, a good person with kids and a good coach. I wish him the very best.

Newton’s running back (Gaston) signs letter of intent with USC. He will be a senior next year. Barlow (TCU) is transferring to USC also.

[Hidden Content] From the article: People laugh when they need to project dignity and control during times of stress and anxiety. In these situations, people usually laugh in a subconscious attempt to reduce stress and calm down, however, it often works otherwise. Nervous laughter is often considered fake laughter and even heightens the awkwardness of the situation. Hagar, your analysis is spot on.

  29. When is everyone going to realize that racism talks just go round and round forever until someone just stops talking...... Racism seems to be worse on Social media than in real life. About 6 years ago I worked in Lumberton and of my 6 employee's, 2 where black females. They never complained of any racial issues while working there. I was asked to transfer to the Vidor location and help with improving their performance. I agreed and one of the black females asked if she could transfer to one of the open positions. I was her first boss and she wanted to stay with me. I was humbled but was like, you know about Vidor's reputation right? She did, but knew I would not let anything happen to her, but admitted her Mom would not come visit her in Vidor. About 2-3 months go by and she never said a word about how the customers treated her. So, I asked and she had this to say. She said that she was treated differently in Vidor than Lumberton. She said both places were nice to her, but they actually TALK to her in Vidor, treat her like a PERSON. I was more than shocked by that response, based on Vidor's reputation. I can only comment on my life experiences and those around me. In my eyes Vidor is not what its reputation had it, and in general, for the most part, people of all races are nice to each other......Social media gives everyone a platform to create an agenda.....

  33. Thanks for joining the conversation. If the govt waits that long, it'll be too late. And the powers that are in control would have missed the opportunity to exploit us. There will be many more chances for power grabs, transfer of wealth, and basic squashing of standard human rights, before the "invasion". I think it's all been a result of the secrecy. Aliens aren't going to invade like what we see in the movies. If they come to kill us, they aren't gonna stop and ask for directions. Their technology would be so advanced, we would never see it coming. On the other hand, if aliens come in peace to unite humanity into the universal order of intelligence. And share technology that could correct our pollution and provide free energy. And connect all religious indifference and end war. Would our world leaders, political and religious, be willing to share the gifts with humanity? Or in fear of losing their control, withhold the information for their own gain?

    This Board Needs....

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that thekind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending onwhere she is in her menstrual cycle. For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged andmasculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, shetends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and aspear lodged in his chest.

  35. For starters, not government or state funding to these organizations that pass out water and food. Perhaps mor finding for more homeless shelters. Homeless shelters with programs in place to get these people jobs and a real shot at a somewhat normal life besides living in tents and panhandling/begging. Easier said than done, but it’s a start…

  36. I have been a small part, a very small part, of a group that provides hot meals to homeless men, women, and children near downtown Houston. Mental illness and addiction are the obstacles that I have seen firsthand. I do not know the answers. I do know that they appreciate a hot meal, a word of encouragement, and a simple handshake or friendly hug. Yes, there are some grifters/swindlers, but the majority that I have encountered are not hustlers. They are stuck in a cycle and need some help. What I have encountered has taught me about the seriousness of mental illness. I had such a misunderstanding.
