  1. disappointing. HJ gave this away late. To be fair, HJ had the best player, but Canyon looked like a little better team.

  2. I can definitely see 5. Kimball has played some athletic teams so BU's athleticism wont come as a shock, kinda like Manvel. They've also won some close games and had to claw their way back which I think will play in their favor. I'm still taking the home team but if this game is close I'll be nervous If om Green my foot is definitely on the gas all game. Dont give them any hope. They've already shown you wat they're capable of against a pretty quality opponent

If you fools jinx this team by already talking about greatest ever, I’m never going to forgive you. At least let them get one under their belt first.

  4. Those back-to-back 3s by Canyon late was the dagger. That sequence was crazy! Plus the wasted 20secs to foul Canyon late in the game.

  8. An anomaly. The overwhelming majority of those who take the China virus shot don’t die. I’m comfortable with people taking it if they want. Btw, who says she was actually healthy in the first place? I’d be interested to hear the autopsy findings.

  9. I hesitate to bring it up because this is not what this thread is about but... If Huff wins it makes the Tigers look that much better! They only bowed out to the eventual champion. And now I'll stop.

  10. Yeah I’ll be nervous if it’s close in closing minutes too , kimball won against some pretty good competition last 2 games in closing minutes so they’re not new to that !

  15. Not a slam on any school in particular and doesn’t apply to every school. But is an observation made by several basketball guys I know. Houston kids are often more skilled but also softer than the DFW schools. Houston plays more suburban basketball (with certain exceptions like Yates) while Dallas basketball has more of an inner city feel. It is what it is or maybe it’s a perception that I and others are wrong about. As far as it working in football, are you trying to claim that Houston has more success in football championships than DFW? Because that isn’t perception - that’s just patently false. Katy has an amazing program and North Shore has been really good of late. But as a whole, the Metroplex has held over us for years. But for the record, football or basketball, I will always root for H-town over that place up north.

  16. poor decision making by HJ there. Going into the press HJ under minimal pressure gives the ball to a non-ball handler to break the press, leads to a quick turnover. then a lazy pass on the ensuing inbounds leads to another. HJ had this game almost in the bag. Literally make it past midcourt on that first possession and they're likely up 5 or 6 with under a minute left. instead they're down 2 in the blink of an eye.

  20. Congratulations BU beat the snot out of north Texas ..this year regardless of classification they have been the best team in the entire gha and will probably be for the next two years ... bruh I got mad love for Beaumont .. family has history there in that area .. one of the old high school’s Charlton- Pollard is named after one of my family members ( charlton). No insult on you But that out-tough statement sounds really present-minded and sheepish bruh..don’t forget ( most of the time it’s SUBURBAN Houston schools that beat the TOUGH Beaumont , inner city Houston , and port Arthur schools to get out of the gha/ reg3. ..true Dallas gets up to play Houston .. Houston is its older and bigger brother so of course they’re gonna come hard ..but ask ur sources and urself this ... if the dfw schools are able to out tough the Houston schools then why doesn’t it work in football ?

  26. After watching video of Huffman, that Harvey makes threes out where Defense fear to tread. Kid threw in fly-over threes. If, Big IF, he can zip a few of them against Argyle, this is going to be a very close ball game. I put the over/under at 85. Both teams appear to play great D. I’ll be a Falcon fan.

Yup. They’re losing their fifth leading scorer and two other seniors who combined for 43 points on the year. Not even sure if one of them is still on the roster. They’re going to be better next year than this year

The starting lineup only Hs one senior. So 4 starters return. 1st off the bench is a freshman, 6’4”. . He returns. Put it like this. I believe we only have 2 Seniors on the team. 1 starter other a bench player...

If you haven’t seen the program for the state tournament, check it out, it’s pretty cool: [Hidden Content] looking through it I saw HJ and Canyon have matched-up before in the Championship game, 1989, HJ defeats Canyon 46-44 in double OT. What a game that must have been! I’m all for good, back and forth games, but I would really be thrilled with HJ dropping the hammer on this one. Cut the Net, Ladies! HJ 62 Canyon 50

  34. Spoken like a true liberal. It's a crying shame people with this stunted intellectual skillset are allowed to spew this nonsense. If you had one iota of a brain cell you would quit trying to "analyze" (lol) people by putting them in a box with a stereotypical label. That's so boring and childish. Non-liberals are not trying to end healthcare or food stamps. That is a lie perpetuated by the liberals for their sheeple to eat up. Consider yourself full...of it. Most non-liberals want only those that need help to receive it, not make a living off of it. It's a simple concept, but apparently too hard for some to grasp. You should be embarrassed for trying to label people you know nothing about. Maybe we should analyze you. Why do you want children to grow up as government slaves? Or would you rather just kill them and be done with it?

    What’s The Formula?

What they have is a great school district, a nice community, and a commitment to all athletics from the school board down. But the biggest draw for them I think is location. For families in the Fort Worth and Denton area that are looking for a smaller/suburban setting there isn’t a better choice right now. The growth going north of Fort Worth up I35 towards Denton is absurd. And Argyle is the benefactor. They are basically Southlake Carroll 25 years ago. It also helps they probably occasionally get a transfer or two from Southlake, Keller, Flower Mound or Northwest ISD. I don’t expect Argyle to stay 4A much longer.

  40. You have to remember, when talking to these folks, Silsbee never loses. They only get beat by dirty play and crooked refs.

  41. United because they are better.
    1 point
  42. 1) No intentionally foul, good old basketball 2) Yes teams that apply a full court press (Yates) usually commit more fouls 3) This is mainly a Silsbee thread 4) Usually the losing team will cry/complain about the foul count 5) It is what it is in sports 🏀
    1 point
  43. No one has answered my questions. 1) was Harvey intentionally fouled? 2) simple question do teams that full court press foul more than teams who do not? I have watched Huffman play a lot this year. I don’t remember seeing a player from Huffman get 4 or more fouls and that’s playing 7 players. Has Silsbee fouled less in the majority of the games they played? Based on the last several posters Silsbee must foul less than opponents. I seriously don’t know the answer.

  45. I predicted 77-51. My margin of victory was only off by 1. What is incredible to me is how focused they have been all year, especially given it is really still a relatively young team. I don’t think it matter whether it’s Kimball or Amarillo...BU plays like that and they aren’t losing. And one thing about the Dallas teams when they play Houston teams...I think a lot of times they out-tough them. That’s a belief that is held by many by the way. But when they play Beaumont or Port Arthur, that ain’t happening.
