Renegotiating the trade deals in 2017 and 2018 was painful for farmers (they knew it would be) so the gov stepped in, as they should, in the interim. Can I borrow the #NotMyPresident hashtag or is that reserved for President Trump? 2. Who do I contact to see if Republicans are boycotting the Inauguration, like the Democrats did for President Trump? 3. Do I have to accept the election results, or can I cry for four years, claiming election interference? 4. Am I entitled to see Biden’s tax returns to learn how his income jumped dramatically in one year (I mean, we all know how and why. Just show the proof.)? 5. Am I allowed to trash anything that Biden says, without repercussion, because I’m just expressing myself? 6. Is there a sign-up somewhere for riots, do organizers call me, or how does that work, since I didn’t get my way? 7. What do the posters here think about President Trump skipping the inauguration of President-elect Biden? Sore loser? Do not care? The election was stolen and President Trump should never recognize the Biden Presidency and Administration? President Trump should man-up and attend? Show some leadership and make a gesture to heal America? The last time a President did not attend a successor’s inauguration was 1974 when President Nixon left the White House under the cloud of Watergate. President Nixon did not attend the swearing-in of President Ford. Before that, unless you count those that died in office, e.g., Presidents Kennedy, Roosevelt, Harding, McKinley, and Garfield, you have to go back to President Andrew Johnson skipping the inauguration of President Ulysses S. Grant in 1869. Out of respect for the office and to uphold an example of decency, President Trump should attend. Just my 0.02 cents. After President Carter lost and he carried the burden of Americans held hostage in Iran along with the burden of a terrible economy that had divided our country, he attended the inauguration of President Reagan. When President George H.W. Bush lost, he attended the inauguration of President Clinton. Even after Bush v. Gore and hanging chads, President Clinton attended the inauguration of President George W. Bush. President George W. Bush attended the swearing-in of President Obama and President Obama attended the inauguration of President Trump. Even with many differences, those men did the decent thing and showed the world that Americans overcame divisions and peacefully transitioned power. That we were still united through thick and thin. Again, out of respect for the office, I think President Trump should reconsider. What do you think? In two different books, I read where Presidents Bush #41 and #43 left letters in the Oval Office welcoming Presidents Clinton and Obama and giving them words of encouragement and healing. Those types of gestures to heal the divisions within the United States now seem long gone. I hope we can return to the days where our days of unity outnumber our days of division. I'm guessing a few responses will be: (1) the election was stolen, no need to attend; (2) attendance is not required under the Constitution; and, (3) Too little, too late...Pelosi started this mess...where were the olive branches of peace and unity when President Trump held the keys to the White House? Going to check out some good ones this week. Both games will be for sole possession of 1st place in their respective districts. Tuesday night I will travel to Coldspring to see the #13 state ranked, #4 SETX New Waverly at #7 state ranked and #3 SETX Coldspring-Oakhurst. This will be a battle for 1st place in district 23-3A with both teams coming in at 3-0 in district. Saturday I will be in Buna to broadcast #11 state ranked, #1 SETX East Chambers at #8 SETX Buna. This one will also be for sole possession of 1st place in district 22-3A (providing both win their games Tuesday night). Both teams are currently 4-0 in district play. Looking forward to seeing/broadcasting some great 3A basketball this week!! Well Aledo, nothing has to be said about your championship teams. Congratulations have been wore out. This is going to be a heck of a game. I've told Crosby the best thing that happened to them was loosing to Nederland. That pushed a button and they haven't lost since. They have amazed me each week by slaying the giants. They make mistakes and still win. They can't make to many mistakes Friday. So if Crosby can click on just 7 cylinders, they have a great chance to win this game. I'm not calling the Cougs underdogs because there are none in the State Championship. I hoping for a exciting game, SE Texas style.

Not even close, tell that to the farmers that are getting good money for their corn and soybeans. Tell that to the folks in fracking that were killing it and are now scrambling to secure leases on private lands. Tell that to the millions of unborn that are hoping Roe v wade is revisited in the future. Being rude and crude is ignored in Washington all the time, some folks just seem to focus on Trump.

The only reason they are attempting to impeach again with only 9 days left, is to keep Trump from running again. He sure stepped in their big ant bed. Maybe Trump should attend and tear up counterfeit Biden votes on the steps. The “DIMS” seem to enjoy stuff like that.

I did not discount Crosby's season, if my words gave you that impression, my apologies, it was not the intent. I should have left the longer post that shared my frustration at coaching in a conference against an Aledo level program (we will never get away from them as there is no realignment here, its all conferences) How do they win every year? Great coaching and buy in. Community support that is unrivaled, and tradition. Beating a team like that is a tough nut, and only College Station has been able to do that in the Championship game since Aledo beat Cuero in 98. I'll skip over all the rest down to the part about Aledo and their ability to acquire talent... My point about Aledo playing in an average of 5 playoff games a season since the late '90's is a HUGE reason why people move their kids there. It's much like Alabama, and Ohio State every year getting the pick of the litter. People want to be part of something bigger than themselves, and Aledo has become that. If you are moving to DFW and have a child who is an exceptional athlete, where do you go that offers that child the most exposure and opportunity to win? Aledo, Southlake, Allen all come to mind. I send my kids where the best coaching is, and where they get a great education (not in that order). This is why my daughter goes to the 4A (our 6A) school versus running for her dad at the 1A school where I am a very successful head coach. Same for Bama and OSU, and Clemson. Kids go to win championships and get a ring. Aledo doesn't need to recruit, 9 championships keeps them coming, just like Bama. They could sit back and just take the best kids based on their history. Id really like to see a good game Friday. Crosby has the athletes to make it fun.

I use those lists to gauge the quality of a school. It says a lot about a school and its administration if no "names" show up for the job.

Lovejoy had this team dead to rights and they returned a kickoff, blocked a punt and then shut down the Lovejoy offense. Aledo has a switch that other teams (minus my cougars and possible LH.) Just don't have. When Aledo gets down not a single kid on that team thinks they are going to lose, and that's a powerful tool. There only loss this year is to 6A d2 finalist (edited). A great program, great coaching staff, and great team is what we have to play this week. They have more tradition and more championships than every team we played this year combined... no seriously.. Crosby has to play their best game of the year, they need to be lights out. No Dropped passes, no fumbles when your up by 8 with the ball in the 4th quarter. Mistake must be fixed and we have to play a near perfect game to beat a team as vaunted as Aledo.

I disagree about Nederland this year compared to last year. I don't see this team anywhere close to last year. They had a bigger team last year that could rebound and play tough inside. This year they are small and no one that can take over a game. Years past they have had a guard that can get to the basket and get shots for himself and others. Gibson is just an outside shooter that don't create for others. Yes if he is hitting his shot they will do ok but he plays very timid when the pressure is on him. I've seen several games where he don't score or only has a bucket at the half. When you have a team that don't have much scoring you need more out of the 2 that can score. I know English likes this team but I completely disagree that this team is anywhere near last years team. Last year Hefner would get double and triple teamed leaving guys wide open to shoot. You don't have that this year. Teams know if they take Tyler away they don't have any other confident shooters. After that butt kicking Tuesday their confidence was shaken. I expect English to get them together soon and turn this around. Maybe a 4th place finish in district this year.

Tal, played at Oklahoma State. One hell of a baseball player. He hit one of the longest, if not the longest HR's ever in the CWS at the time.

Aledo Alum here, so, a few thoughts... as a HS coach, these are the things that make Aledo, ALEDO. Aledo has won at least one playoff game every year since 1996... think about that. I coach at a HS that has never won a playoff game! Not one, and we play in a district with Washington's small school version of Aledo, so I get to see life from the other side. Oh and our Conferences don't change from year to year, so we get to see the same two Semi-Finalist/State Finalist teams every year... EVERY YEAR! So here is what Crosby has to overcome: Aledo's seniors have played in 23 playoff games, and their now 4th State Championship game... On average over the past 20 years, these kids have played in 5 playoff games a year... think about how many extra practices those kids have had over the past 4 years, thats 24 weeks of extra practices. Or almost 2.5 extra seasons of football to get it right. I'm not even sure how to express how much of an advantage that gives a program. If you never make the playoffs, a HS kid gets 40 games over his career, these kids after Friday will have played in 64 games. This means these kids were on the sidelines during the playoffs as freshman, and some of them got mop duty in blowouts, including that game 2 years ago. Every season they get more playoff reps, so they are used to being here, which is just a crazy thought. The next challenge for Crosby is Aledo's athletes walk on the field expecting to win, and then they do. Thats not to say Crosby does not have a special group of athletes and coaches. You don't get to this game if you don't, but it's just different. Challenges: So Crosby has to travel, for Aledo it is virtually a home game, at a place they are used to winning big. Crosby has to get over playing on the field with a big blue star on it. Crosby has to see Aledo as just another game, because to Aledo they are the next one up. this is a huge one. Three big gets, and that doesn't get into matchups. I watched the Semi Final game and Crosby is dynamic and athletic, but I saw a lot of Barry Sanders type "make something happen" plays... that can't happen against Aledo. Crosby has to get out of the blocks, and not let Aledo jump on them early or it will be a boat race. I hope its a great game!

I'm a little late to the party, but I would rate Huntsville as the most complete team that Crosby has knocked off. Their defense was two notches better than anyone else and their offense was solid. Liberty Hill was a machine. Their special teams let them down on 3 big plays and obviously the fumble at the end, but they were so well coached and never gave an inch. FBM was easily the most athletic, but a pretty good matchup for Crosby. If the receiver doesn't get kicked out, doesn't matter because he did. Texas High never got off the bus. Their are 100 reasons to say Crosby shouldn't beat Aledo. Just make sure you don't say they CAN'T. They only have to do it once. Go Coogs!

I have no problem with the rankings. You lose back to back games you drop. Happens all the time.

They don’t understand what you’re selling. When you can recruit the 3rd biggest city in the country and only play at the third highest level (4A) in said state, it doesn’t take Coach K to win some championships.
