This is a fun discussion... 🤣🤣🤣 Everyone has really strong opinions on this. Me personally, I will do whatever it takes to keep the games going and be able to watch in person. That said, if I wear my mask all the way to my seat it should be fine to remove it if I'm sitting all alone away from everyone. I'm pretty sure they aren't just going to run up on you and arrest you, there has to be more to this story that we don't see in the video. She may have been walking around without it on and I'm sure she got a warning first.

Watching some Jasper highlights, their running backs have some speed. They like to run to the outside and work the edges. QB looks athletic and he can throw it a little bit too. If their offensive line can block well then this will be a good challenge for the Vidor defense. Still think the Pirates step up to the challenge and win another close one.

Appreciate that. We're a small group, but we try to call it like it is. Every now and then someone will join and start stuff, but we run them off pretty quickly.

So that would put him at 71-25 with the Bulldogs. That's probably second in career winning percentage over that many games behind Coach Walkoviak. He's doing a pretty good job for us.

Good post. I must admit that Jasper posters, as a group, are some of the best. Not a lot of smack talk, just the facts. Game will be a great test for both teams. Exemplifies what HS Football is all about.

I don't know what Barbay's record is in Jasper, but he has won most of those 145 there and lost most of the 78 before he got there. If the game is close at halftime, that plays into Jasper's hands. He and his staff have been really good with halftime adjustments. H-J did have a good first half, but they couldn't do much at all in the second half and they were shut out 25-0. Having said that, we know that Vidor is a better team than H-J and that Jasper can't afford to play poorly early. As good as their adjustments are, they don't always matter when you're trying to dig out of a hole. Looking forward to this one. Go Dawgs!

The problem, which I failed to check into is that the two coaches at Brazosport and Bay city had a combined record of 25 and 56. Bay City coach was 4-16. Vidor coach was 99-112,. So advantage went to Vidor. Jasper coach is 145-78. So -- in this game advantage goes to Jasper. Semi as much as they want! 😃

Because of the stage of the action, it may be a Writ of Prohibition. If I remember correctly (and I probably don’t) a Writ of Mandamus cannot be used against the president or governors of state.

Thats how it works EVERYWHERE in the United States, Einstein........the legislature passes bills the governor signs them into law......governors dictated mandates are NOT law and we do NOT have to obey them......if we are punished for our disobedience we SUE and we WILL win the suit because the governor violated our Constitutional rights........

It’s only the worst health crisis ever because the media said so. It’s way overblown and the facts will come out. Obviously people need to be smart if they are sick and not expose people. Stay home if you are sick. The same common sense as always during flu seasons. But let people make their own decisions on wearing masks. Wear one if you want to. I am not at all concerned about getting sick from an asymptomatic person.

Idk the rules in her municipality, but IMO she should not have been arrested. That being said, initially do what the cop says and you alleviate a lot of heartache. Yessir and No sir goes a long way. Agree with it or not, if it was the law, then she should do what the officer says.

Nice feel good story but she was a political activist hack on the Supreme Court. I remember when she spoke out against Trump which a Supreme Court Justice should never do. That’s why you never see a SCOTUS Justice clap when a State of the Unions is being given regardless who’s president. They are always suppose to remain visibly and vocally neutral when in public. yea the early 90s Coldspring Trojans teams were stacked i think it was 90-93, 96, 2009,2010, 2011 teams were teams that should have won it

2002 Jasper. 1985 Jasper. 1988 Jasper. The talent on those 3 teams were exceptional even for Jasper standards and each of them was more than capable of winning state. I know there were some before those years too, but that is a little before my time.
