Some coaches don't want to risk injury a week before district. Some want that extra week to heal up before district. I'll have to look at the others, but WO-S didn't schedule a bye before district because their bye is built in to the district schedule due to having an uneven number of teams in district.

Everybody knows on here my stance on abortion..... there is no other issue that is more conflicting than the abortion policy with Christianity. forget republican/democrat/libertarian.. if you vote for a person that in turns votes for abortion then you agree with that policy. That’s plain and simple. thats my first thing I look for when I decide to vote. I am mostly conservative on most issues. But even if a republican Politician sides with abortion I will not vote for that person even if he/she is pro border pro 2nd amendment, pro school choice, pro small business, pro lower taxes,.......

IMO, the AD should be separate from a head football coach or any coach all together, if possible. That way, there isn't conflict with that.

It’s obvious this years Newton team is currently nothing like the teams of old. I wouldn’t put a lot of stock in the Mustangs performance in that one game. On the other hand, WOS blanked Vidor in the scrimmage, and Vidor hasn’t had any trouble scoring against other decent teams. So yes, I think the Mustangs Defense is pretty solid. And as CardinalBacker pointed out, I hope I didn’t offend any readers that may be Centaurs.

I honestly think we had a good shot at them with it being the first game and some of the key injuries they had but who knows? We have been playing very sloppy early on, last chance to clean up some of the silly mistakes before district play.

Good chance for Nederland to knock off a good team before they get rolling. Huntsville lost a lot last year, including the coach’s son who was a three year starter at qb. They also lost two beast on a defensive line which really was the strength of their entire team last year. I believe their stud linebacker also graduated and signed with North Texas. One thing about Huntsville is that they’re pretty big for a 5A-D2 team so I do expect that to be an issue for Nederland.

I hope they are getting better, but you can’t win by giving up an average of 44 points a game. Vidor is the only team left on the schedule that will be better than Silsbee or EC. Huffman may be ok. Livingston, splendora, and LC-M pretty weak

We wouldn't have a defense that could compete consistently. That's what would happen. Landslide: lmao 😂 ok. Ceiling would be 3rd round, oh wait what did Png do when all world QB was there with the best WRs in SETX? 3rd round too. Hmmm. Maybe just maybe other teams are better in some years and in some areas 🤷🏾‍♂️ I think Fairchief would have better success in DFW. Just my opinion.

Lumberton made the playoffs 5 times Babin has done it 3 times as a head coach and twice as the OC. He’s a winner!! Sometimes you just don’t have the athletes to compete.
