The kids are alot stronger than I thought they would be.

However, they're heading up to Cushing tomorrow with a small group who don't understand the word "quit" and a very proud Coaching staff who feel the same! This should be a good game to watch, HD vs Hardin is one of SETX’s longest played rivalry games. Not sure what Hardin has coming back, HD has some promising young athletes returning. A traditional heated game, will be fun to watch. Prayers for a healthy game, for both sides.

Whether you agree or disagree with the reaction to Covid-19 doesn't matter.. masks and social distancing is the reaction that we have to deal with or they will shut things down. I with some of y'all.. i believe your right... this may have been blown out of proportion by the media... this is a extremely political virus.... wearing a mask sucks and really does help that much unless you wear a N95 mask.... the Flu is worse on these kids than Covid-19... But the way I feel does not matter when it comes to the kids. The reaction is if the virus spreads they will shut down athletics/school and that would be devastating to these kids.... if you dont believe me ask the baseball SR's and parents last year.. looking into their eyes and having to telling them that everything they worked for 4 years, that they would not get the chance to compete for their goal... It was one of the most painful things I had to do in my life and I DO NOT WANT TO DO IT AGAIN... UIL has already been in contact with districts that showed they were not following the guidelines.. which means if we all dont obey the guideline they will shut it down. So I will do the things needed to make sure they have the chance to compete.. I will wear a tutu if it that was a reaction to Covid-19 for these kids. I will continue to wear my mask for 12-14 hours a day even though I hate it. I will social distance as much as possible. I will ride kids and parents about the dangers on not social distancing. I hope everyone takes as much precautions as they can.. So please, even if you do not take precautions for yourself please do it for these kids.

Who said it was a hoax? The reaction is the hoax... being killed in a plane crash isn't a hoax either. Doesn't stop people from continuing their lives. I feel sorry for the schools and kids that are held hostage by all of this.

They had a couple of ok teams a while back, but that is when only first place went to the playoffs so they never made it in.

Their history is still in 4A. They need to be updated but I am not up enough on code to do it. As to the question, no. In fact, the first ever playoff appearance for Huntington wasn't until 2018. They made the playoffs in '18 and '19 but lost in bi-district both times.

Jasper has had more than their share of cheap shots!! Remember the 2016/17 basketball season when Silsbee beat Jasper by 60 and a brawl broke out after the game by some Jasper 1988 graduates 😂😂 vs high school kids . Hope all is great and a hard fought game. Safe trip fans!

I am from Silsbee, but graduated from Jasper. So I have a unique interest in these games. Been to many of them and have had numerous kinfolk play for each side. Who knows how this one will go, plenty of talent on both sides. But what a heck of a week these kids and coaches have had to endure. I hope both teams enjoy themselves and play some good SE Texas football. Go Dogs.

I finally snapped to what looked different about Vidor’s offense today. The QB is receiving the football from the shotgun position sometimes instead of under center every down. I guess they’re adding a new wrinkle to the offense. Good to see them get some live action in today.

Heard a great point by Michael Barry today. If LeBron and all the other overpaid crybabies really want to make a difference in the system they think is so flawed, quit your multi-million dollar jobs and go through the police academy and set the example in your community that you claim is desperately needed. I am done with most professional athletics. Dropping weight left and right because I no longer sit and watch others play games I still love. Mostly 20 year old kids that have been influenced by liberal media that has completely taken over the sports "journalist" as well.

Once again me and my family would like to thank everyone for the support you guys have given us, its really helping get through the tough times. The other night I drove home the orange by myself, I left the kids at the hotel here in Houston with lights food and a/c because we still don't have lights yet but I wanted to see if I could handle being in the house without her being there and for the most part I did fine, I couldn't take sleeping in the bed looking at her side but I was able to sleep on the couch for awhile.
