  1. That would cut A LOT of posts off this forum.

  2. No. Aldine had some stud teams and in fact was ranked 2 or 3 in the state in 1985 and I believe won it in the late 80's or early 90's with Bill Smith. But in 1987 it was MacArthur who was the stud team in Aldine ISD.

    Swine Flu!

I am having to rethink this. I have taken a lackadaisical approach to this virus. My comparisons to the Swine flu were almost spot on, so I didn’t see the need to panic. Actually, I never see the need to panic. However, with these new worst case scenarios released this morning on the possible deaths from Covid-19, I have to say it bothers me a bit. I will say the global numbers are skewed somewhere. I think it’s China. I want to apologize to anyone who thinks I played it down too much. It is some people’s form of release in an effort to keep sanity alive. If they predict an asteroid to hit the earth and destroy us all, I want it to land in my house. I won’t run if it is a certainty. That’s just me. I have said I changed nothing about my lifestyle. Actually, my lifestyle fits the protocol. I’m a homebody. When they closed the restaurant’s, that pretty much sheltered me in place, unless I need a top shelf margarita from Tia’s.

  4. Let's clarify what we're asking for. Greatest football player WHILE THEY WERE IN HIGH SCHOOL or kids from SETX that had the most success at the Collegent /NFL level?

  5. Has nothing to do with which team he played. Earl will be in HOF. Nuff said

  6. B. B. Davis? French High 76. Had a pretty good college career right here at Lamar. Outplayed Carl Malone on one memorable evening in the Bmt Civic Center.

  7. Kickers don't get much love but Bryant should be added to the list.

  8. Rodkale is not his older brother. His older brother already graduated, but the brothers do look alike. He did move from Bmt, but he's been there since his freshman year.

  9. Earl was much better if you look at all pros and Pro Bowls.

  10. Watching a new series on History Channel, Skinwalker Ranch. If you enjoy paranormal, or strange things, it’s interesting. Tuesday nights. Read this before next episode. [Hidden Content]

  11. I would rate Kevin Smith even or slightly ahead of Earl Thomas. Both were very good in high school, college and the pros.

  12. There wasn't the divisions that were noted then. They did finish #9 in the nation in the USA Today Top 25 in 1987 and the ESPN Scholastic Sports America (all schools). Knocked off Aldine MacArthur, the #5 team in that poll and the #1 team in 5A (which was the largest classification in Texas) when they played.

  13. Ain’t it funny how closing international borders can be agreed upon when there is a “bug” that’s gonna kill Americans, but it can’t be agreed upon if terrorists want to mass murder Americans? I don’t get it.

  16. I agree - James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Luka Doncic, LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan would take them for sure.
