Come on guys this a good informational site the votes are in if you ask me I think Rideaux should have won this coming from a Silsbee guy but the votes didn’t say that let’s stop with the race stuff this is an opinion board it’s ok to agree to disagree but let’s get away from the race stuff it’s ok it’s just a vote guys

Look, if you don't agree with the pick for COTY, that's fine. But to try and forward this bull that this was a "racial" vote given that an African-American was selected and by your own tally (which can't even be trusted) two white coaches voted for your favorite is something that is not appropriate for this forum as is indicating it was the case for selection of the all-district team. You want to talk race, we have a political forum for that. Leave it there.

Lumberton beat them twice maybe Mitchell should have been coach of the year

I'll never forgotten what he did in the Region 3 Final a couple of years ago against Yates. He played his heart out and his contribution to the victory was decisive, he was the difference. Near the end, when he'd given everything he had to give and more, in total exhaustion he got wobbly and just folded up collapsing to the floor. I've never seen such effort and total commitment, right up to the point of endangering himself. That's something very, very special that doesn't come around often.

Rideuax not the COACH OF THE YEAR...I know it was them "WHITE BOYS" that voted against him... Clay Davis(HJ), Brad Jeffcoat(LCM), and Randall Robertson(BC) y'all some bitter A$$ coaches...

Should be MVP, 1st Team, and 2and Team, and Coach of the year. That's it.

Bernie scares me. I like to be prepared for the unthinkable. If the unthinkable happened and he was able to “accomplish” half of what he’d like to in 4 years, could take us decades to recover. I know confidence is high, but 2016 taught us anything can happen. At the same time, if the “Shanghai” of Bernie is completed by the Democratic Party yet again, the President could get more mileage out of that than the economy.

I believe when u stated a coach voted for himself. The vocal member who has stated multiply times that they are against rideaux did. It was never addressed to his comment. So ppl ran and assumed that person was right.

Coach Rideaux did not vote for himself...He voted for Sig...That 's why it was 4 to 3 in favor of Sig... Coach Rideaux - Votes from Lumberton, WOS, and Silsbee(3 votes) Coach Sig - Votes from HJ, LCM, BC and HF(4 votes) Coach Sig nominated Coach Rideaux for coach of the year...So ask him who he think deserves it...

Listen, Hamshire - Fannett my alma mater, the school I played ball for has been a joke for YEARS. He came in and within one year turned them into a playoff team. No small task no matter who came with him.

As I’ve posted before, Bernie’s following is a whole nuther breed. They love Bernie more than they hate Trump. And if they think the DNC has done Bernie wrong (which they probably will), most won’t support Biden.

Coach Rideaux not getting coach of the year is a travesty, plain and simple. Dude took a program that’s been a absolute joke for well over a decade and took them to the playoffs with some previously unimaginable wins along the way. It’s no secret he rubbed some of the other coaches the wrong way but there’s no denying he did a unbelievable job. Comes down to pettiness in my opinion. Sure hope he sticks around and keeps ruffling feathers. HF athletically as a whole is starting to turn around and it’s a dang shame that it’s not being recognized to its fullest.

Have coached these girls in the summer for 4 years. Not a better group of girls around. So proud of them. Takes a lot of work and effort to get there 2 years in a row. Great things will follow these girls.

I don't think some people realize how little Coach Sigler had to work with this year and still made it to Huntsville. There were games this year where I felt like being critical of him was justified, but overall he did a good job.

I was told the majority of the coaches thought Sigler deserved it because he lost over 65 points per game due to graduation and still won district. The vote wasn't unanimous. Also, for the first time that I have ever heard in any all district selections, a coach voted for himself.
