This is just a little check in on one of our area's greatest high school players ever. From Inside Texas "Roschon Johnson came to Dallas to play football. He caught 4 balls for 23 yards and had 8 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown. He also ripped off a 58 yarder. On the 58 yarder, he broke through pathetic contact by the OU defender at the LOS, which is unremarkable, but makes a lovely explosive cut to the right to find the massive seam. He made another solid move on the sideline. We didn't see that decisive run maximizing cut from him last week and it popped that run wide open. When he realized he wasn't going to house it and was surrounded, he valued ball security, knowing that the Sooner DBs would try to stand him up and punch the ball. Two arms on the ball. Veteran stuff.On the ensuing goal line TD carry, he ran through Deshaun White closing down from the edge like he was dooky Charmin. Good power through contact.RoJo has dog in him. To me, like I've told you, it depends on QB play where we seem to be regressing. If the QB lets the ball go, trust his receivers and plays like we know he can, then the offense will go because teams can't stack the box to stop the run. If the passing game is the same one for the last 4 games, same final result as the last 2 games. He seems to be trusting his legs more than his arm...until Friday where he snaps back, does what he needs to and we leave Channelview with a W.

No need to over analyze this one. WH showed why they are one of the all-time terrible programs in the state. Obviously 99% of the teams in the state would run WH off the field. And as this proves there is "no" team in the state that cannot give WH a run for their money. Credit to Burkeville for showing they belong in the conversation with WH.

Agreed. I was curious why that would be considered a trick play. Great call and players executed perfectly. Huffman coaches and players deserve credit for the win. They were the better team and should go 10-0. Lumberton has nothing to be ashamed of. Just have to protect the ball better and keep getting better at executing. No need to press the panic button.

Tepper, on his weekly video, picked WO-S in this game. I didn't see who Stepp picked. Maybe not PNG won by 8 & lost by 6 = +2 Vidor won by 10 & lost by 8 = +2 Crosby lost by 10 & won by 6 = -4 So I guess PNG would still have the edge in a 3 way tie situation due to the head to head victory over the Pirates? A lot of football still left to be played and it probably won’t shake out like this but still interesting to think about.

Sounds like someone has taken a few butt kickins from EC. All of this rhetoric that you are throwing out there definitely needs to be aimed at your team. Do you want to know why EC comes off as "arrogant" to people outside of Winnie, it's because they believe that they can win any game that they are playing. If you go into the game passive and "hoping" to win, then the odds are not in your favor. Every winning program has that "arrogant" attitude. I don't care where they are from, but they have it. Just look at arguably the greatest QB of all time, Tom Brady, he plays with that arrogant, I'm better than you attitude. I am an EC graduate, and I can tell you, EC used to be the homecoming game for everyone. If you don't like how the BUCS act, then have your team beat them.

I’m curious to see what restitution is ordered. Although it’s not like with the feds where they can just garnish wages. And over a 10 year period, short of “finding money” somewhere else, I can’t imagine it would put a dent in it. He can also serve up to 180 days in jail as a condition of probation. Knowing Judge Stevens, i wouldn’t be surprised to see that happen. Still, 2.5 mil for some probation and a 10k fine, I’m sure a lot of people would take that deal. Reminds me of the American Greeds my wife and I watch and she goes nuts when people defraud people out of 100s of millions of dollars sometimes and get like a 5 year sentence...
