WOS has a good offensive and defensive line. they could go ground and pound, eat six or seven minutes off the clock and score. Get a stop and repeat the previous scenario and be up by 14 and be midway through the second quarter. sometimes the best defense is keeping the other offense off the field. You can do that with a good blocking offensive line. You just can't have penalties or turn overs. WOS is better than last year, no doubt in my mind. The lines on both sides of the ball are bigger and better than last year. I know nothing about Crosby. My second team takes it. WOS with the win.

The dropped punt was a big turning point. Nederland was still behind but had the momentum. Not saying they would have won because Silsbee was the better team Friday. I just think Nederland could have stole it. Big Ned needs to execute. Blocking is sub par. I cant comment on the play calling. No one can. There is a lot going on, on the sidelines that us mortal fans don't know about. Monte is lacking a few leaders out there. Thank the lord we have a week off. Congrats Silsbee. They came to play.

PNG has played two games against two 5A opponents and scored exactly a field goal more. You can't possibly be talking about putting up points against Silsbee who gave up 52 to Newton the very next week and over 42ppg on average for the season so far?

Our line play is suspect, our QB needs some experience, I think he is a good athlete, but needs some reps to get better. Whatever Dayton is doing Offensively is disgusting!!! Looks like they are trying to run the Option, but Jeez this is terrible. I feel sorry for those kids man. They look confused and unsure of themselves. What is happening to the Broncos? The only bright spot Offensively was at the very end of the game, they ran a little Spread stuff, and scored a TD. BH always comes to play against Dayton! I could be wrong, but I don’t think Dayton will challenge the Eagles at home. If the Eagles play mistake free I see a 21 point win. If The Eagles get a turn over bug Dayton will make us pay for it. Dayton on the other hand would love to come into Eagle Stadium and take one from the Eagles, so they will be on there A game.

No, you're not wrong but you've got to realize you're dealing with a mental giant here. To get into a war of words with him might be a losing battle. Although rare on this board, I do recognize genius when I see it.

Congrats on the win HF!!! Both teams played hard and do not have any reason to hang head. Good teams capitalize off of other teams mistakes and that is what HF accomplished. Not taking anything away from HF but didn’t see the crispness that gives EC the edge. An example is HF had 4 and long at around EC 25, it was an incomplete pass but ruffing the QB gave HF first down which they turned into TD. Another was on a quick kick snap over head which he picked up and instead of getting punt off he ran ball out of bounds giving HF short field. There are plenty of other decisions by both teams but these kinds of decision can make a good team reach the next level. Another thing EC missed was endurance. HF wore down EC defense and again good teams capitalize off of it. The whole second half EC offense was the second-string back field because of an injury and the rest cramps. The offense and defense were cramping. I saw defense pull up on a HF long run because of cramps. Again Congrats HF on doing what it took for the win. EC will be fine but will have to work on some things.

Question I would ask here is, “Who has the best win, and who has the worst loss?” Lee has looked good so far but Dayton beat Lee’s toughest opponent to date worse than they did. PNG best Silsbee in a good game, Newton destroyed them the next week. They beat Tomball by 3 tds but Tomball Memorial already beat them by 5 tds I’m the opener. BH lost by 4 scores to Magnolia who was beat 49-0 the vey next week by Shadow Creek, but they probably have the best win in the district against KP. KP has already lost to Angleton by 30+ though. Crosby could beat WOS by a couple tds Friday and probably be the favorite next week. There’s still a lot of fluidity. Couple of predictions that I’ll make about Crosby; I expect them to have the best statistical defense in their 7 district games and I also expect them to rush for over 2,000 combined yards in those contest. Still need to figure something out in the passing game though.

Pretty sure #8 is the go to receiver right now.

It was a 2pt game with 5 something left in the 4th quarter and then Ned muffed a punt return. Ned also missed several scoring opportunities, two FG and should have had a TD but penalties killed that drive. Ned has to cut down on the penalties and the mental errors.

Well, it certainly was the most watched game this season by a considerable margin. But it still only had about 70 percent of the viewers of Texas-Notre Dame a whole 3 years ago. So while it wasn’t even the biggest home game for Texas in 3 seasons, it did get more of the country watching the SEC. So you’re welcome, I guess.
