They could easily say thats where its from and many will believe it... just like were not funding a war ("they're purchasing our weapons") where's the receipts to back this claim? Now, the top teams are positioned well this year.. Another issue is the addition of the Ivy League to the playoffs removes an at large bid. You likely know most if not all this information though.

Yes, it is a point system. 10 pts for win, 1 pt for each opponents win, 1 point for each class and division that opponent is above you. then divide by 10. The really weird thing is we went to divisions instead of classification. Most of the people ranked above us are 3a while we are 2a.
