This has been a very successful year for SLC. One of the better ones in 15 plus years go the Confrence… I wish I could find the video I saw on TikTok about SLC becoming top 3 Confrence again not just football but all sports in FCS.. also talked about gaining a few members into it, there has been talks, that came from high up at Lamar at the game this past Saturday… SLC needs to finish strong. Just hope that Lamar lost against Incarnate Word didn’t come back to haunt them… if that would have been a win I would say regardless what would happen with SFA, Lamar would be a shoe in…. But Lamar just needs to handle business and win out.

If i have to pick a team with the best chance, it's lumberton. But Pine Tree is solid, battle-tested, and playing their best football of the year. In their last three games they upset Chapel Hill, lost 17-10 to a 9-1 Lindale team that should be ranked well inside the top-10, and had a comfortable win against a bad palestine team to end the season. I struggle to pick any of the district 10 teams because I struggle to envision a scenario where any of them could make the playoffs in district 9.

LC doesn’t have much firepower. They have spurts where they can be stingy on defense, but it’s nothing special. Their offense is one decent receiver, a solid qb, and a decent running back who isn’t raising any eyebrows. I might rank six RBs in our district higher than him (he’s a freshman with a good ceiling, so that’s not a knock on him). The result is pretty one dimensional, but they’ve moved the ball ok all season. Qb waits for a perfect pass to let it go, so you can get coverage sacks all night. He’s got a good touch when he does throw it. Numbers seem down over there. They don’t have the depth of a 5ad2 team. Basically, they’re a 4a team at a 5a school. The early game might be close — Despite everything we’re all saying, LC isn’t bad. They can make a game of it. They just don’t have a lot of talent or depth. So, I’m expecting it to be 14-7 to start the 2nd quarter, but it’s 45-7 by the end of the 3rd.

Going into the season, the Texas defense was thought to be the strength of the team. They had their ups and downs early in the season against above average teams. From the Marshall game on, they have been dominate. The question mark was our QB and OL. It was known the QB was an athlete, but played WR up until this year. He has been a pleasant surprise completing 2/3 of his passes for 2000+ yards. While it has not been necessary to date, he can be dangerous with his legs. OL seems to have gelled after a suspect early season, but may be the weakest link on the team. If Lake Creek cannot play defense, it will be a long night. Tiger offense averages 400+ ypg which is basically 50/50 run and pass.

They could easily say thats where its from and many will believe it... just like were not funding a war ("they're purchasing our weapons") where's the receipts to back this claim? Again I believe none of it! We seem to always come up with extra money when the economy is struggling!

Would like to see that for sure. Hope the committee agrees with you. Not sure if the SLC has ever had 3 teams and many years only has the automatic qualifier representing the conference. Now, the top teams are positioned well this year.. Another issue is the addition of the Ivy League to the playoffs removes an at large bid. You likely know most if not all this information though.

Both parties have had 15 years to fix it....yet the Democrats who created it without one Republican vote has done nothing......and it was not Republicans who put an expiration date on the subsidies.....So where is your blame for the do nothing Democrats? Any Obama supporters should be highly upset that the one big thing Obama did has turned out to be a complete failure. A failure so big, Democrats could not fix it. Yes, it is a point system. 10 pts for win, 1 pt for each opponents win, 1 point for each class and division that opponent is above you. then divide by 10. The really weird thing is we went to divisions instead of classification. Most of the people ranked above us are 3a while we are 2a.
