  2. best show bands in this order 1.PAM 2. WOS 3.BU(be nice if they got better) Memorial is back to the numbers when they first opened or close to it. 150members this year. I guess not many BOTB competitions in Texas due to HISD and surrounding schools numbers are down or they just choose not to?? PAM and WOS i think would/can take any school west of the triangle. PAM can be the large school champ and WOS can easily take the small school. i say small school for them cause memorial is bigger.
  3. Does anyone else ever get the feeling both sides are just sitting on scandals and waiting for their side to get in trouble to pull them out? LOL
  4. Today
  5. Walter with a good outing going 6 innings, one run on three hits, 7 K's. Astros with just one run on four hits. Lost 6-1. Lead is now down to 4
  6. Not sure if you really believe "No one is above the law"! That aside, round em up!
  7. This is gonna get interesting! Tulsi has the receipts! [Hidden Content] @Big girl @CardinalBacker @UT alum @DCT @Boyz N Da Hood No one is above the law!
  8. Just added Vandegrift's head coach 2pm Monday
  9. Joe Espada said the initial rotation list (Valdez on Sunday) was a typo and the plan was to give Valdez extra rest and have him pitch in Arizona.
  10. Yesterday
  11. Framber was hit with ball last outing and continued pitching and I thought I seen him favoring a leg. So I don't know
  12. Just got the lineup a while ago. Peńa…..Not sure Myers….August Arighetti…..August Javier….August
  13. Saw where the Astros made a pitching change to their rotation for this series. Originally it was Walter, McCullers and Valdez. Now it's Walter, McCullers and Brown. Valdez will not pitch till Arizona series. Must be an issue with Framber because he has had plenty of rest since last start (7/12). Will be over 8 days rest if he pitches the first game (Monday, 7/21) at Arizona.
  14. Waiting on the government to make something/anything affordable may take a while.

  18. Agree on the Patriot act, also wasn’t too happy when Bush increased the department of education drastically. Both parties spend too much, always have, and always will…until they can’t.
  19. We’re in the same boat for the most part. Although, some of the Republican backed policies haven’t made me happy either (Patriot Act anyone?). Not sure either major Party really believes in personal liberty any more. At least, they don’t seem to prioritize it. But yeah, Democrats have never been an option for me either. Except for like the School Board example because of lack of choices.
  20. Never voted straight ticket either but I can’t remember the last time I’ve voted democrat. As far as the illegal immigration or simply immigration, I was referring to the actual position of the party, not views of a portion of the voter base. I vote Republican because they are closest to my views but I haven’t been very happy with them for a while, not necessarily the policies, but the party members. The only viable alternative is democrats, which isn’t even actually one.
  21. I don’t vote for a Party. Never have. I’ve never knowingly voted straight ticket. Typically, my votes are between Independents, Libertarians, & Republicans. Democrats—as I’ve stated multiple times—are polar opposites of my view of limited government. Have I voted for Democrats in the past? Sure. I’ve seen very few conservatives or anyone besides someone I knew was a Democrat running for School Board. They’ve typically been retired teachers or school employees that you knew they voted Democrat. But, they were the choices. As far as Republicans and immigrants—yes—there’s an issue in my mind. With perception or implementation of policy at the least. That’s why—prior to the election—the vast majority of Republican voters surveyed said immigration needed to be curtailed. Not just illegal immigration. Immigration in general. That number is now around 30%. Seems when enforcement hit closer to home, views have slightly changed. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in the camp of no illegal entries—period. Also, no benefits for people here illegally. I’m against birthright citizenship as it’s a draw for illegal entry, and abuse of the system. I also don’t believe it was the original intent of the authors. But, we’ll see on that one. I’m for immigration verification and enforcement for employment nationwide. I’m willing to pay a little more if necessary. I think as long as the U.S. is a welfare state, these are reasonable stances. I know they don’t all mesh with the Libertarian views of Cato, or even the open border policy of the Libertarian Party. But, that’s why I say I’m libertarian with a small ‘L’. I believe if you want open borders, you need to end the welfare state first. [Hidden Content]
