Those knuckleheads on court TV keep repeating 'Wow"..... One said they were expecting manslaughter and the other because of the short deliberation thought he would be acquitted.....and that guy is making a fool of himself. Calls it dumb...... He said he only stabbed him once, it's not murder..... court tv is biased big time
-
Murder one! As they say in the movies.
-
Guilty of murder.... according to KHOU11
-
I'm at work not working waiting for the verdict.....

It appears that the verdict took less than 3 hours of deliberation, whatever that means.

The verdict is about to be announced….

Incoming freshman class looked pretty good at the Kountze Summer League. There's of course still plenty of rough edges, but they handled business. Good news is the one kid I was worried about leaving to play elsewhere appears to be staying put.

In 1982, there was a guy, maybe someone can identify him, I believe he passed away a long time ago. He drove a white Chevy step side single cab truck, had a gunrack in the back glass and had a shotgun on it 24/7. It was so common, no one said a word about it. Pocket knives, lighters and cigarettes were also carried back then, even underage, no significant problems for you if you didn't make a scene..... Another thing we used to get away with back then is leaving our open campus and going over to the Party Keg (Gulfway and Main) and buying a 6 pack, coming back to the parking lot by the band room and having 3 each before returning to school......we sometimes sat in lawn chairs behind our car....lol Never had a teacher walk out. So - different times
-
It was definitely a different time, but I can't remember a time I went to a track meet, football game, golf match or baseball game as a student athlete (yeah, I lettered in 4 sports 😎) without a pocket knife as a student athlete. Hell, I carried one to class, to student council meetings, to school dances. I was a teenage young man in Southeast Texas. I always had a knife on me. Lol.

I will give an update on Westbrook and BU after the TABC. I will try to get video footage while I'm there so you all can see for yourself what each team has to work with this coming year...Hopefully every player is available for the games... -

Well when you spend 2 trillion dollars more than you take in as a government does it really matter. Why hasn’t Trump cut spending? Trump is no different than a Democrat when it comes to spending. Who cares if you get a raise if it’s eaten up by inflation. Our debt is the biggest threat to this country but they keep spending us into an oblivion.

I literally posted this above. Lol Thanks

Don't really know. Just know about the bigs. No idea about JV or JH's. Just impressive that BU could loose that much talent and still be favored over the team that went undefeated in district last year. I know West Brook lost some key pieces just expected them to be able to somewhat replace them. Will be interesting to see how it unfold over the next few months. -

Agreed, and that Odom group is strong. Also, that Summit team that beat BU in state, had lost three of there best players from the year before when they won state. I believed BU could make state last year, before Payton or Campbell transferred in. So with the additions and what they still have now, BU could be back to at least Semi finals for state. But only if they in 5A D2 this coming year -

Favored over West Brook? That says something about the depth at BU. -

My thoughts is BU will still be favorites to win district. Thinking back, when Jones arrived at BU, he took over the starting guard position. Well, the kid he got the job from was already a starter as a freshman (King Campbell). So they’ll still be experience there. Also, with EJ’s departure, you’d think BU was losing length. Well, his backup was a 6’8” sophomore. He’s projected to be a starter next year. So what I’m saying, this BU squad probably isn’t favorited to make the state tournament (or however you want to call it these days), but I think it’ll be a pretty decent playoff run. And I say decent to BU’s standards. Also, I’m saying all of this and I haven’t even mentioned that strong Odom MS group that will be on BU’s campus next year. BU will be fine. -
The politicians serve as the straw man for the oligarchs. Since the Citizens United case, division has increased almost exponentially. The politicians are bought and paid for by the ruling class, and they gladly take the heat for the real villains as long as their trough remains full. Never forget the value of the straw man to rulers.

Well, since all you seem to want to do is come in here and take your pot shots and me and Reagan, you can have it, Porter. Feel free to reuse “pot shots”. Simple Google search: Representative Thomas Massie voted to block President Trump's 2019 national emergency declaration regarding the southern border. [1, 2] He was one of 13 House Republicans who broke party lines in February 2019 to support the resolution overturning the declaration. Massie later joined 14 Republicans in March 2019 to vote with all Democrats to override President Trump's veto of the measure. He justified his votes by asserting that the Constitution grants the power of the purse exclusively to Congress and that a president cannot bypass this by reallocating funds when Congress refuses to approve their spending requests
