It was attached to the hfc, that would be a mistake to remove it.

Agree 100%.  At a school 4A or smaller if your head football coach isn't your athletic director then good luck getting an experienced winning coach.  Nobody wants to go to West Hardin to do head football and teach history half of the day.  They would've had a hard enough time finding a quality guy anyway because of the money...or the fact that they're usually terrible.

Here is how I heard it. A board member who has been out of control thought his son should be getting the ball more and pitched a fit to the coach during football season. Then when baseball came along the same board member didnt like the way baseball was going and went and got mouthy with the baseball coach. Since he didnt get what he wanted he went and rallied acouple of board members to try and non renew both coaches. This is after the best year in school history for athletics and thats not even counting if baseball wins and makes the playoffs Saturday. Some people just cant help but get over their ski's.

You can go after a school board member over that.  They recently changed some laws...?

But either way WTh is a sorry place ran by some sorry people anyway

Congrats West Hardin on being a dumpster fire.  A buncha good ole boys running the place over there.  Makes sense.  Petty people not getting their ways so lets destroy everything. Good luck finding someone to be head football only and teach class while getting paid in peanuts, high fives, and headaches from the board.  If that board member continues, he will cause West Hardin to a perpetual cesspool where no one will want to be.

Happens all the time at small schools...at big schools too..   School/community politics has run off many a good coach!

it doesn't help that they are going to be senior heavy next year.... Over 3/4 their team was junior senior this year with bad lower levels.... not enough participation for us to play JV games against them at evadale... their MS coach said they only won a game or two against a bad burkville MS... might be a decent year next year for the oilers, but this job will be what it has always been, a coach killer.
