Today, it is for all of the marbles as the Newton Eagles seek their second consecutive Class 3A, Division II State Championship as they take on the Canadian Wildcats in this Texas State Championship Game.

W.T. Johnston's Eagles 13-0 on the season, reached this final by taking the following road:

Bi-District: Omaha Paul Pewitt, 69-0

Area: Grand Saline, 59-5

Regional Semis: Troup, 69-14

Quarterfinals: 79-12

Semifinals: East Bernard, 21-14

Meanwhile, the Wildcats, 13-1 on the season, took this road:

Bi-District: Anson, 70-13

Area: Colorado, 56-26

Regional Semis: Spearman, 42-7

Quarterfinals: Abernathy, 19-7

Semifinals: Gunter, 17-7

The guy in the black cowboy hat hes doesn't care for the south over years its seems to me. He keeps saying the panhandle doesn't see speed up there like the teams this way. Is it because of the size of the towns up there or what.
