I'm actually a big UT fan and can't wait to see Shug. Watched him a couple games last year and the kid is just nasty. Would love to see Dayton win but seeing that kid is worth the price of admission. Think Dayton will need 50 plus to make it interesting and need to be + 2-3 on turnovers. I don't think Dayton has had a game this year when they have been + on turnovers. Maybe we get lucky and this is the one.

I want to see how they handle Daytons O. The qb takes madd hits and gets sacked often but he is still producing which means he can still move the ball on a suspect PNG D. If there was a game for their offense to find a rhythm, its this one since many times we just rush 3. He should have his time to make the right throw. That worries me a little

Dayton rb's have accounted for at least 12 fumbles in 6 games. If they cut that out and the penalties I think Dayton can make the game at least interesting. I don't see us holding Shug and the Indians under 50 but would really like to see Dayton play one clean game and see what happens.

Wasnt aware of that. Png doesnt do well with space and runners who are good in space. If they are that type, I expect to deal with all night. We do much better with power offenses and power backs.

I’m just looking for an injury free action packed Friday night lights ball game. And yes I’d love to see a lot of Offense from Dayton, i think it will happen and some tough Defense too. We have shown hope so many times but this can be the one that we get it all together. With a QB like PNG’s you have to be prepared for the run and the pass, so preparation is key. We can’t buy into the run every time and get burned by the pass, like what’s happened in our close losses, and our offense needs to come out of the field house firing on all cylinders. No slow starts, need to win both halves. As always GO BRONCOS!!!

It's so heartbreaking seeing them defeated every single game. I love all those kids pooring their hearts out every Friday night. My heart says Broncos. But my head says PNG. Either way PURPLE wins.... GO BRONCOS!

Aj has played extremely well this year.  From the 3 games I've seen Dayton play the edge defense is good.  The middle is soft and so is the secondary.  Orebo and pike have looked good on defense.  My buddy called me after the Nederland game and he was completely disgusted.  He seems to think there is more to Dayton losing than "not having the talent!" He knows the kids personally some of these kids tell stories that if they got out it would be a mess. Going to be an interesting off season.  I hope Dayton can turn it around but I don't see it happening.  I pray all kids go injury free for the remainder of the year.

Dayton has some big kids and fast ones. I don’t get why they haven’t won a game yet. They can be good

Come on man this comment is uncalled for. What are trying to do stir the pot with a spoon made out of BS. People feed off of comments like yours, i know one for sure that is 100% dedicated to the program, and wants nothing more than to win, he has always hated loosing since he started playing at 9. All i know is when we all go 100% we hang with teams like Friendswood, New Caney, heck even the Mecca.

Folks Dayton will be back just like we here at PNG there are lean times that come around. Then one day your sitting at home a buddy calls and says hey man have you heard about the 8 th grader on the football team? You say no. He says man they have been smoking everyone all year. This one kid is a super stud. Next thing there is excitement in the community. A couple of years later you smoke through district and a nice run of playoff runs roll through. Dayton I promise you the DNA is there it will come back around and I predict not far down the road. Hold your heads up and lean on a stellar 20 years run that not to many could match up to. Good luck my purple brothers and sisters

The problem in Dayton isn’t the Jimmy’s and Joe’s in my opinion...

I dont think we are so much bashing the defense it is more or less telling the truth. Over the last few years it has gone downhill . At this point all i look for is a couple of stops and let the offense take care of business. It is frustrating to see special teams give up a kickoff return on a pooch kick. But was quickly forgotten when Cejas returned the punt. Guess we just have to take the good with the bad. Ready for tomorrow night. Hopefully no rain and an injury free win for PNG.

100% agree -- I hadn't ever thought of it, but let's just have a D as good as Nederland's. We have a really good offense. Our offense, year in and year out, can score on most teams in the state. Let's have a D like Nederland. This is one of the more insightful observations I've read on this site.

The difference is Nederland lets kids go both ways. You have receivers that play DBs and running backs play LBs and etc.. The kids at Nederland maybe besides the Qb, have an offense of position and a defense position, which they practice at weekly. PNG kids when they get into the program they are divided up between offense and defense of guys, every once a while a guy might flip. When they flip they are not as good as they could have been because of years of not getting those skills developed for that side of the ball. JMO

Finally football weather. Can't wait too see this game. PNG always has a great crowd and a serious tradition to go with it. Probably will get tired of Cherokee by the 3rd quarter but it's all good. Just hope both teams play their best game and definitely hope no injuries.

I am confused what does that mean tired of Cherokee? That does not register in my mind?? LOL

    • Wrong again. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up   The day that Trump took office, our nation debt stood at 19.9 Trillion dollars (End of Q4, 2016).  After his tax cuts (without corresponding cuts in spending), the national debt stood at 23.2 Trillion dollars at the end of Q1 of 2020 that was the Start of COVID, FYI... Or a total increase in debt of almost 17% during Trump's first three years (and one quarter) in office.  At the end of his reign (with COVID spending for which Trump himself signed off on) was at 27.7 Trillion Dollars.  That's a 39% increase in the National Debt while Trump was in office.  For further reference, Biden inherited a 27.7 Trillion dollar debt to start.  At the end of Q4 2023, the debt stands at 34 Trillion.  That's an increase of 19% over the first three years. I know that math and facts hurt your feelings, but Trump was horrible for the country before he allowed "them Dirty Democrats to shut down the economy."  Anybody that says "Trump was good for the country" doesn't know the first thing about micro/macro economics or the effects of deficit spending.  Trump hurt us like no other president, period.  Anybody that says "Trump was good for the economy" is actually stating for the rest of us with some sense "I don't know what I'm talking about."
    • But of course you wouldn’t understand the saying. You’re so clever. Your education precedes you.
    • Hmmmm..... Didn't they just win a football state championship?
    • The fact that you try to bolster your assertion that Trump was a bad president by using "facts" that are not attributable to him is disinformation at it's worse. It is "lying by omission", which is just another way to say big ol' fat lie. Unemployment was going down to record lows before Covid hit. You and I and almost everyone on Earth knows this, but somehow you try to spin this stat as a knock on Trump. Same for the stock market. LYING BY OMISSION. A tactic almost as old as prostitution. The debt and spending exploding due to Trump is just an old fashioned bald face lie. You seem to follow the mantra "if you tell a lie enough times it becomes fact." You are starting to resemble Biden now. Do you have any other whoppers to share?
    • Intentionally keeping top secret documents haphazardly around the house comes to mind.  A lot of what came out of his mouth, torpedoing the political careers of republicans who didn’t fall in line?  I don’t know that he all of a sudden became a beacon of moral light and goodness just because he got into office. Again, we’re not talking about policy, but what kind of person he is.  If anything he seemed to get worse once he was in power as far as I could see.
