Went to the Buna vs Anahuac game and it's going to be a long night for Buna if they have not improved a lot. Woodville by as much as they want. This is not a knock on Buna, just my opinion.

my cousin who has a son that plays for buna said they aren't nearly as good with the back up qb and he said the starting qb came out with 8 minutes left in the first quarter. if true, perhaps Buna is a lot better than what you seen last friday vs anahuac ?

The back up is the “arm”. Thread a needle from 60 yds out. I think we going 5 wide this week and let him pick n chose.  Pulled up the receiver from the JV.  OBJ is what they calling him. Moved here from H town.

I'm not the coach nor will I question what is decided.  But if this is going to be as outmatched as I'm thinking.. throwing it around (killing the clock) would be the last thing I would do.  I would burn as much clock as possible because I think this one might get ugly.  We'll see..  best of luck to all involved.

Nothin wrong with slingin the ole tater round a bit now an again. Don't be such a hater.

Woodville better watch out for those phantom holding and pass interference calls, those penalties can be killers.

How is it that I'm always accused of being a hater? lol.. To be honest I don't care if Buna throws it every down.  I'm just saying don't be surprised when WV has control of the ball for 90% of the game when it happens.  I like the passing game just as much as the next guy..when it can be done.  But if it can't be done I would hope that it's recognized early enough to keep it from being as bad as it could be.  Don't forget that Buna didn't exactly burn the scoreboard down last week with this backup QB that is a supposed throwing threat.

Just messing with you Brother.

I knew what you were saying.

Sometimes throwing the ball is only thing that gives a team a chance to win, but it also the one thing that can turn a lopsided win into a complete an total BLOW OUT!!!!

All good.  I swear I don't know when I'm being messed with or when I should be defensive these days.. Not that I was intentionally being defensive.  I think I'm losing my mind.

Aren't we all, I feel like I'm crazy most of the time, then usually around 3:30, i realize it's not a feeling and I really am STARK RAVING MAD.

But, you and I are usually on the same page, so if I'm giving you a hard time, I'm probably just messing with you.

    • From what I read, the state intended for there to be no drainage. It was to act as a dam or levee just like the hurricane levee around Port Arthur. It worked to perfection.  In doing so, the water had to pile up somewhere.  Like in Causby that I mentioned above, the Supreme Court ruled in that case that the federal government took his land by merely flying planes over it but low enough that the engine noise was disrupting.

    • Exactly. Of course changing realignment to make matchups more fair helps, but fairness always helps, and that shouldn’t be a knock against PNG. But, they created the fixed divisions in what, 2018? How did PnG do in that setup before Joseph showed up? Elite coaching mixed with good players and good luck, and a level playing field, yeah that helps a lot. But for anyone trying to say PNG had it easy, why don’t the other 120-ish teams in 5aD2 do just as well?
    • It’s not a land issue, it’s a demographic issue. The population in PN-GISD is getting younger. Old folks are dying off, and their homes are being bought by young families moving in with increasing frequency. Factor in that PN-GISD is more attractive than some of its neighbors right now thanks to the newer schools, the quality of education and the recent extracurricular success, and you have an easy explanation for the ~20% enrollment growth that’s occurred over the last ten years while the neighboring Jefferson County districts have all either flat-lined or shrunk. You also have an explanation for Groves posting the highest growth rate in the county and the third highest in the MSA on the 2020 census. We’re a lot closer to 5ADI numbers than people realize.
    • Dang i cant believe they past up on Cornel Thompson
