Hmm seems like I have heard this before, how PNG was going to beat Ned three years in a row with Shug.   Hasn't happened, if fact it hasn't happened in the last 25 years or so.

Has it really been that long since PNG has beaten Ned ?

ECBucfan, what do you mean pay off? I don't think anyone thought that by the hiring that BH would march to a state championship anytime in the near future. I do think people were ready to make the playoffs and have success in the playoffs. Nobody foreseen the way the new realignment was going to be set up. I think I could speak for most parents at BH when I say that if we come in 3rd or 4th in the new tough district would be a positive, but you likely get Manvel 1st round. Come on, nobody thinks we walk over Manvel 1st round. We have to be able to shake off the voodoo that PNG and Crosby has on us. We have beat Dayton the last couple of years, which is a positive, and would've made playoffs two years in a row if we didn't get hit by the injury bug last year. I think people have bought into the new system, we have really good coaches, and now the kids have to perform. It's all good at BH, and we're good with our ivestments. BTW, we are growing fast, over 1600 students at the HS and growing.

It's voodoo too yall dropped what 4 TD passes against us last year?

RJ's senior year.....I have no doubt that PNG will beat Nederland this year and the two years to follow.  Of course this is without any key injuries occurring.  Don't really know anything about our new district foes, but Crosby has been really good the last several years.  The district Championship will be between PNG and Crosby IMO.  Good luck to all teams.  This will be like a playoff atmosphere every week.

You know bigdog, I honestly really don't care if PNG beats Ned or Ned beats PNG.  Yeah if you win you get to say for that year your team won.  I'm just a parent.  Now for my son and his friends that play between the white lines on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday night is a different story.

Updated forecast:

1. Crosby - no explanation needed

2. Nederland - looking for an undefeated matchup when Crosby comes to town

3. Vidor/BH - BH has Vidor’s number but Vidor has looked better to date

4. BH/Vidor - BH probably backs in by default, would draw Manvel in bi-district

5. Dayton/PNG - just lost AT home to Galena Park . . .

6. PNG/Dayton - losing RJ is probably worse than losing to Galena Park

7. Santa Fe - primed to play spoiler

8. Lee - averaging 41ppg through their first two, might surprise somebody

RJ has stated he will be back soon. I would give them the 2nd or 3rd spot with him.. can’t ever predict Mid County Madness, but that will be the determining factor.

    • Poster I guess forgot about 2022 Port Arthur Memorial as well. (3rd round lost was to Longview who won Region 2). And last year that 1st round game was against Forney who won Region 2 as well.
    • FBM made it to the 4th round in 22-23. If that’s “weak,” I don’t know what “strong” is.
