Larger Coaching staffs at the bigger schools, so many new schools opening up, not near as many people going into the profession and those that are tend to stay at the college level and go the GA route in hopes of hitting the coaching $$$$ jackpot that is Division I coaching. Numerous factors have led to the shortage in our profession and the small schools that can't pay are the ones getting hit the hardest.

Not always true. I guess it depends where in TX you are but a first year teacher/football coach can make near $60k, which is more than a good amount of head coaches make in Florida. But I can’t speak for a smaller school like Evadale.

Ok let me restate my comment.

millennials don’t want to make 40000 dollars, and have to jump through the growing amount of hoops to get cussed out everyday.
