YATES VS SILSBEE

Recommended Posts

Silsbee has played kids like #23 from Yates when they played in the  Cy Fair Tourney and Dallas Tourney. Hughes is a bug time scorer. I will say the Tigers have their hands full today but fully expect Silsbee to play hard and find and way. Silsbee can go 8 deep and press maybe 9. Lowe, Martin, and Sells can all give solid defensive minutes. Also, Cartwright might be able to come in for a 3 or 4 sold minutes. I don' think Coach Sigler has went fully into his bag of tricks all playoffs for a reason.

If #23 for Yates can stay out of ridiculous and foolish fools he should have his way down low. If Yates continue to shoot the ball the way they have in the playoffs this game will be fun.

This is the X factor to me.  If we handle him inside or get him out of the game with fouls we will have a big edge.  If we let him control things we are going to have a big battle.  Either team  could win in either case but take his size out and I like it a lot better.

After watching both games yesterday Silsbee will have to make better shot selection. Too many threes that were just heaved up without squaring up to the basket. Fatigue won’t be a factor but pressure could be for Yates. I expect to see Silsbee break the press easily but they must play better defense in the half court than they did yesterday,

if Braylin and Jordan are hot from outside Silsbee will win. If not, Yates will have the advantage. The team that gets into foul trouble will have a hard time competing. Should be a good one!! Safe travels to all of the fans.
