West Orange Stark vs Pleasant Grove

Haven’t seen PG , don’t really need to. I hear the noise, same noise we’ve heard for years. We’ve come out on top of some really well coached teams, even with the errors and penalty’s. The only thing that can stop this train is itself. We play an error free game Friday , no doubt about bringing home the 3-peat. So bring it PG.

Again I been saying the same thing  since week one but no one was listening but one person and that is back to back

Checked PG out on some YouTube highlights. Solid coached football club that relies on execution. They have a big line and have some nifty backs. Occasionally will run a pass play just to keep defense honest. Lots of misdirection plays. Gilmer put some points on them but couldn't stop them. I look for the Mustangs to sell out on the run on first down and put them in some long yardage situations. I believe the Stangs will be up for the challenge

A long lost poster. "Haven't heard from you in a while.

I said last week that I thought WOS would run out of gas and the streak  would end vs Wimberley... I was wrong. Here comes the good ole slot t or wing t offense from PG. ladies and gentlemen we know how this story ends... WOS congratulations on your 3rd straight State Championship.

Yep, that offense might surprise some folks, but WOS has seen it so much, they could probably run it themselves with one day of practice.  PG won't surprise them with anything, so it'll boil down to outplaying WOS, and that's no easy task.  But these PG kids are good.  Real good.  I'll be thrilled with a 21-20 WOS victory, or any victory.  Go Stangs! .

Been a few years..Life gets busy.

Anyway, this Pleasant Grove fan base is sure confident they are going to be able to show WOS something new. Example: this poster talks if putting 5 touchdowns on the Mustangs

Wow, 13 pages and I'm just now getting to put in my 2 cents...

I think our biggest advantage is our game plan, coaching, and how coachable our Hawks are. They have the athleticism, brains, and drive to come out on top. We are healthy, smart, and motivated...be prepared for the Hawks to put on a show.

Play them like you do Vidor, get them behind the sticks on 2nd and 3rd down.  They do pass though unlike Vidor but are run first - pass second team from the looks of the stats. #21 running back is a hoss but I think the Stangs can hold him down.

The newness of this experience is causing their fans' heads to swell beyond reason. They would be wise to study their opponent and not assume WO-S is like every other team in front of them. Our fans have been there and experienced a loss before, so we can't take anything for granted. Our players are certainly preparing for them with total focus. It's like bootcamp lockdown for the Mustang team this week. Coach Thompson will not let our players lose focus.

I have dish an there is no channel 416. It stops at 412 and then skips to 455. I wander if they’ll add it later in the week. Pay per view perhaps?

If you have Direct TV it's 676 I think.  Not sure Dish Network carries them.

PG is a better version of Kennedale because they throw the ball better that Kennedale does.

PG is well coached, but they do not have the staff that Coach Thompson does.

Both teams have great defenses.

WOS has the experience factor.

This very well could be the best game of all the State Championship contest. Can't wait to see this one.

Given the PG crowd has crowed so much about WO-S' strength of schedule, so I found this number in the DCTF preview very telling:

Strength of schedule:

Combined record of Pleasant Grove opponents: 75-74

Combined record of West Orange-Stark opponents: 82-66

Great piece. Do you mind if I use it

I also saw they played 3-7 Tatum for bi-district and only won 21-7.Now that's impressive.
